The new comic storyline is going to deal with an attack on Repbulic cloning facilities according to
www.starwars.com One of the pictures is a clone shielding a child clone with it's body from droidekas. This brought a question to my mind:
Would the clones be extremely protective towards the younger clones, seeing them as their "children"?

More like brothers. My brother and I fought like hell when we were younger, but we would defend each other now.

If they haven't been indoctrinated into the unflinching warriors we seen at Geonosis, it would be probable. We see the young clones as children and there is no reason to think the older clones wouldn't.

No, they would rather see them as younger siblings. The only ones who are likely to see the clonetroopers as their children are the Kaminoans, and according to the Visual Dictionary, very few of them views the clonetroopers as more than automata, and Taun We is the only Kaminoan who is known to have any affection for the clonetroopers. (not surprising, as she's one of the few Kaminoans who know much about human psychology)
