My vote goes to the Crystal Star by Vonda McIntyre. It was so horrible, I am glad that it was a gift. But KJA is bad too.

There's...too many of em!!! Planet of Twilight has to be the WORST. Crytal Star and the New Rebellion are close.

Crystal Star gave me inspiration so I can't dis it as the Worst
(Insperation? Simple Jania can use the Force to make a light by making Molecules go faster.... Do you relise what this means if you can manuiplate somthing that small, If you can get it to move fast enough to make a light... You could with a little scalling two two things, A-Throw Fireballs
, B-Make things Exploded
Realy depending on how many and how quickyl you could move them you could with the right materials on hand create Fission reactions at will
Worst hmm would be the Jedi Tales books the kiddies SW books about a city of the jedi, no jedi save one and a bunch of droids.... Landos floating house on Bespin where that one jedi mentioned above nearly falls to his death(The house is freken like a Suberban house with Repuslerlifts glued on hovering 2 miles over the Grand freken Canyon)..... I ran across these horrible peaces of literary crap about five years back, All of them number under 150 pages and I only saw about two of them but the back-cover indicated there where five altogther

New Rebellion is the one I disliked the most. But I have just read a couple of books so may be they are worst out there.

Mr. Bean, you forgot the part about discovering the glove from Darth Vader's right hand, the Prophets of the Jedi, and the ability to make Force lightning with simple electronics in a GLOVE.

I actually enjoyed Dark Journey quite a bit. It added some needed character development to the NJO. For worst book, I'd be hard pressed to choose between The Crystal Star, Children of the Jedi, and Planet of Twighlight. Assuming, of course, that we aren't including KJA's "Young Jedi Knights" BS.

Argh make the hurting stop!
Seriously these would win worst SW books of all time if any of you had read them
After reading this KJA looks like Tolkien

Glove of Darth Vader was the first EU book I ever read, it was nearly five years before I read another one.

The worst Star Wars book by far is "Splinter of the Mind's Eye". It does let us know that Vader's armour will stand up to heavy blaster fire though.

Crystal Star...how could anybody commit something THAT bad. I was forcing myself to read - just to know what has happened there and how it ended. And also the trilogy (I think) where Luke Skywalker was in love with Ms Callista and they had those everyday problems, yes, common relationship problems ;)
Dont forget about the series of the Young Jedi Knights.
And about yuuzhan vong series: overall story is CRAP. Books make a nice read tho, except for some PLAIN STUPID accidents, like Chewbacca's death. His death was SOOOO HEROICAL and SOOOOOOO <put anything in here>. If he had received a blaster shot straight in between the eyes it would have had more sense...
As my friend has put it: Since they had such stupid idea to kill Chewie, they will make out something twice stupid to defeat YV.
And as for the worst SW character, I vote for admiral Daala.

KJA books. 4 ISDs, 1 SSD, 1 DS prototype and 1 SC were all destroyed by less the a dozen people

Dark Apprentice. Because in the middle of a trilogy featuring a superweapon that can destroy stars; the shade of a long-dead Sith leading a Jedi apprentice into killing Luke Skywalker and committing mass murder on a stellar scale; an Imperial Admiral with a roving commission to cause terror within the New Republic; the threat of a rediscovered Death Star Prototype; and a plot to kidnap the children of Leia and Han Solo...
there's alll that bullshit with the Jedi twins moothing about the lower levels of Coruscant. And it goes on for pages and pages, and meanwhile Daala loses two more ISDs in the blink of an eye. Gawd.

By far it was Darksaber. Lame-ass plot, stupid villains, and one of the foremost generals in the New Republic is killed by a fucking Hutt while on a covert mission. The whole thing was contrived beyond belief.

One thing KJA DID get right with Darksaber was Bev Lemisk
No one has writting anything about him before and I liked how KJA protrated him because I can COMPLETLY see the Emperor doing that
Anyone Not like how he showed Lemisk?
The hell are you guys smoking?

Darksaber was the worst?
Have you even read the Black Fleet Crisis? If you haven't then don't. No one should buy those books.
The other really bad one is the Approaching Storm. It sucked. It read like a travel brochure, and it reminded me about 300 times that "Bariss is by the book" (which she wasn't!). Apparently it was written for someone who could not remember that "Bariss was very by the book." It told us that Bariss was "by the book" so many times I wanted to scream! Did I mention that Bariss was "by the book?" Again, if you haven't read it, don't buy it.
I really didn't like I, Jedi, either. Everyone else did, though, so maybe I'm just weird and don't know good writing when I see it.
The worst, though, had to be the Black Fleet Crisis.

Ok, think deathstar in hutt hands. Good so far? awsome.
Now think cheaperand stripped down. OK, who the hell really needed all the freakin turbolasers in the known universe glued to a ball.
Sounds like good material? Think again. KJA spends most of the book building up to the climax, even has GENERALCRIX FREAKIN MADINE die on a FIELD MISSION. Then, instead of a desperate battle agaist time to save whatever the hell the target of darksaber is, he has it shoot. And it blows up, not the planet. Wow, that was DUMB. I SPENT 3 HOURS READING THIS DRIVEL AND THE GODDAMN SUPERWEAPON BLOWS ITSELF UP?????????[/b]

Black Fleet Crisis had good fleet battles though.

MoS, I think your just odd.
I really liked I, Jedi and the Black Fleet Crisis. I think that the Barbra Hambly/KJA/BH trilogy of books royally sucked, in comparison to Isard's Revenge/I, Jed/SOTP/VOTF.

I really liked that part. It gave a lot of the backstory for the whole cloning deal. I was amazed to think the Emporer could transfer non-force adepts to another body. That would be a great incentive to join the Empire, immortality!
