What are the greatest feats of Exar Kun when he wielded the Force?
Get your fill of sci-fi, science, and mockery of stupid ideas

you sure it survived? when i read the book it implied that it did but it wasn't exactly too clear about it.Connor MacLeod wrote:Though the most impressive feat I consider of that era is the fact that that Tree-Jedi actually survived a supernova.
Ood Bnar IIRC? Yeah, he came alive when Dark Empire 2 came around (when Sedriss was on Ossus fighting Luke). Of course, he sacrificed his life to destroy Sedriss a very shortt time later.Darth_Zod wrote:you sure it survived? when i read the book it implied that it did but it wasn't exactly too clear about it.Connor MacLeod wrote:Though the most impressive feat I consider of that era is the fact that that Tree-Jedi actually survived a supernova.
Whatever that was, it wasn't a supernova, per se.Connor MacLeod wrote:Though the most impressive feat I consider of that era is the fact that that Tree-Jedi actually survived a supernova.

I was almost going to suggest maybe something like a hyperspace shockwave, but didn't because I wasn't sure if that would sound silly.Illuminatus Primus wrote:Whatever that was, it wasn't a supernova, per se.Connor MacLeod wrote:Though the most impressive feat I consider of that era is the fact that that Tree-Jedi actually survived a supernova.
Actually Bagged can refer to either.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Nomi Sunrider.
Do you mean "bagged=killed" or "banged=had sex with"?
That simply means that the planet was sufficiently far enough away from the explosion to have only received a certain amount of energy (and we don't know the distance insofar as I am aware.)Illuminatus Primus wrote:Whatever that was, it wasn't a supernova, per se.Connor MacLeod wrote:Though the most impressive feat I consider of that era is the fact that that Tree-Jedi actually survived a supernova.
And the planet didn't even have its atmosphere or vegetation totally stripped off.
YEah, they flung it at a Republic task force chasing them in Naga Sadow's old battleship. But frfom only one star actually. The other ten exploded subsequently (which makes no sense - I'm pretty certain ripping the core from a star does not trigger supernovas, nor does it cause other stars to go supernova subsequently.)Smiling Bandit wrote:As I recall, didn't one of his subordinates rather outdo him by ripping the core of a sun out and thereby causing the supernova noted above?
As Zod correctly pointed out, that was Naga Sadow, when he was escaping Republic forces.CaptainChewbacca wrote:Did it to a pair of stars to destroy a republic fleet. Don't remember what the Sith's name was
The "supernovae" did not take millions of years once initiated. Ipso facto they were not "supernovae" as we understand them.Connor MacLeod wrote:That simply means that the planet was sufficiently far enough away from the explosion to have only received a certain amount of energy (and we don't know the distance insofar as I am aware.)Illuminatus Primus wrote:Whatever that was, it wasn't a supernova, per se.Connor MacLeod wrote:Though the most impressive feat I consider of that era is the fact that that Tree-Jedi actually survived a supernova.

I might alsoadd that the Ysanna sort of prove that the planet was reinhabited at some point during the thousands of years between the TOTJ series and DE - terraforming the planet again in any way is certainly within possibility at that time.
Little bit of Column A, Little bit of Column B.Ghost Rider wrote:Actually Bagged can refer to either.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Nomi Sunrider.

And for Exar...either defeating the dragon with a Sith amulet or controlling the entire senate.
