Discuss... Will the Anakin/Obi-Wan duel in Episode III take place on Alderaan?

"The duel will occur on a brand new planet. But it's long been the stuff of legend, so obviously those who have been following the saga from its earliest days have some idea of what it will be like." -Pablo Hidalgo, Starwars.com

Makes it sound like it's a planet we have been introduced to, but still have little information about it. I personally would be excited to see it on Alderaan, I've always wanted to see what the surface of the planet was like.

well it could be Kessel, or Seraphin

But Alderaan would work to.

WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW

I don't know if it was mentioned in the EPIII Spoilers thread, but it has been confirmed that the Obi-Wan/Anakin final duel will take place on a Seperatist LAVA PLANET. There is a strong rumor is that the planet is called "Mustafar".

Mustafar is the planet where the CIS leaders (Nute Gunray, Poggle the Lesser, Wat Tambor, Passel Argente, Shu Mai, and San Hill) convene after they lose the Battle of Coruscant. Palpatine sends Anakin to Mustafar to negociate the CIS's terms of surrender, but instead Skywalker goes in and kills them all. Obi-Wan and Padme enter soon after, and Anakin, feeling betrayed, force chokes Padme and throws her against a wall, knocking her unconscious. Kenobi then attacks Anakin and the duel begins amongs the bodies of the dead CIS leaders.

That would be great. We will finaly be able to see the lives of Wookies on their homeworld.

He did give a spoiler warning. Admittedly it may have served better if there had been more space between the warning and the text, but shrinking text is annoying.

Especially when the subject matter is about episode 3, how can you reasonably expect there not to be spoilers?

I agree. There should have been greater space between the spoiler warning and the spoiler.

[RANT]"That should have been ROTJ! Not Endor - Kashyyyk! KASHYYYK!!" *froths at mouth*[/RANT]

Yeah, I would like to see Kashyyyk too. And Alderaan. And Mon Calamari. Maybe even Dantooine.

One thing I hope not to see is Tattooine. I am so sick of that place it's not funny.

Tattoine has been in the Star Wars movies 5 times. It is getting dull and reptive. Tatooine is given way too much importance for a remote dustball planet.

Go to Sullust. It's supposed to be a volcanic world anyways. In the novelisation, Vader recalls searing hot lava crawling up his back. WOot. And I didn't read the spoiler post, so don't spoil it for me.

4 times. The planet was not in TESB.

I thought it was common knowledge where the duel was going to take place. That Anakin falls into something hot and becomes crispy isn't exactly new information- and Alderaan does not fit into this at all.

Hell, I remember sitting at the bus stop in fourth grade and talking about how Anakin and Obi-Wan were probably going and Anakin would probably end up in lava/something else molten.

Ditto, Tatooine really is getting on my nerves. You can always find things to complain about sure, but one of those things for me is how Tatooine has been in almost every movie (Episode V being the only exception) . It's a remote backwater world in the Outerim yet everything seems to revolve around it, it becomes somewhat annoying.

Oooo, I didn't think of Sullust. That would seem to be a good possibility.
