Just like the title says, where does hypermatter come from and how is it collected?
Get your fill of sci-fi, science, and mockery of stupid ideas

That's repulsor manufacturing (and likely generic power production too, Saxton points out that possibility on his page).Spanky The Dolphin wrote:It is gathered by collecting stations orbiting black holes, IIRC. I don't have my copy of the ICS2 on hand, unfortunately.
So it's manufactured from black holes? Interesting. Is hypermatter supposed to be clusters of smaller "primordial" black holes or something?Spanky The Dolphin wrote:It is gathered by collecting stations orbiting black holes, IIRC. I don't have my copy of the ICS2 on hand, unfortunately.

Usually when one person tells another person that they're wrong, other people keep track of it.The Kernel wrote:So it's manufactured from black holes? Interesting. And the problem with that is? My understanding is that if you are going to use black holes for power, you want the really small primordial ones because they give you the best bang for your buck. His Divine Shadow wrote: *red lights starts blinking and klaxons flare*
No.
So sorry to have offended all the resident astrophysicists.Spanky The Dolphin wrote: Usually when one person tells another person that they're wrong, other people keep track of it.
Don't you have the slighest clue about whats being said in this thread? The Kernel wrote:And the problem with that is? No.
Ahh I see, nevermind then. My reading comprehension is distinctly subpar today.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:No, it's black holes being used in regards to hypermater production that's false. As Ender pointed out, I was thinking of the entry on repulsorlifts.
