I finally saw The Last Samurai last weekend. Watching it made me think, who here thinks Ep3 will be like TLS?
Most of what I'm thinking is summed up in this:
Samurai = Jedi.
Japanese Imperial Government = Galactic Imperial Government.
I could be way off, but I had to share this theory with someone.

The Last Samurai depicted fall of the Samurai and Episode 3 will probobly show the fall of the Jedi. So there are similarities. Even more so that the Samurai and the Jedi have similarities. Both are honorable warriors who fight with sword like weapons.

Somehow.....No.
Aside from the complete ripping apart basically that movie gave of that time period...you're missing immense key points of the flick as in that the Samurai weren't really on the run but they were unwilling to adopt to a new lifestyle and rigidly held onto it.
Somehow I doubt this movie will be about the Jedi rigidly holding onto the old way as the New Order emerges.
And Palpatine is not an impotent teenager.

Although, the Senate could be viewed as the impotent teenager =/.

More importantly Ep III can't be the last samurai because i don't remember a Samurai turning against his social order in the movie.
