Leia Organa Solo is a princess...or at least used to be.

Since Luke is her brother, dosen't that make him a prince?

Nope. Leia's title comes from her adopted parents. Luke wasn't adopted by royalty therefor he isn't a prince

And Amidala was an elected queen. By Episode 2, she was a senator, and no longer queen.

True, but she is also the Princess of Theed.

And as stupid and contradictory as an term limited, absolute monarch is, it seems that in all likelyhood Naboo's Queen is elected from a noble candidate pool.

I've been asked why I still follow a few of the people I know on Facebook with 'interesting political habits and view points'.

It's so when they comment on or approve of something, I know what pages to block/what not to vote for.
