The Reborn?

Post by Lord Revan »

what were the Reborn warriors before they became reborns, what do you think? Could anybody become a reborn warrior?

Plus what do you think of these warriors used by Desann (Jedi Outcast) and by the cult of Ragnos (Jedi Academy)

They were fairly easy to kill. But they provided excellent lightsaber fights in the game.

True if you are jedi. They did also provide some comedy in to the games by saying something like "do you fear me?" then jumps of a cliff.

The cultists in Jedi Academy were even easier to kill.

So true, but it doesn't always work.

You have to time it right. When they're in the air, push em' back towards a chasm and enjoy the screams. They only get the brains to avoid this late in the game, when they stop jumping....

Any body could be a Reborn or cultist, as the were artifically empowered

FYI, my personal fav thing to do to them is Force Choke them into the air, and force push them off the edge or ledge or whatever we are on
I've been asked why I still follow a few of the people I know on Facebook with 'interesting political habits and view points'.

It's so when they comment on or approve of something, I know what pages to block/what not to vote for.

In Jedi Academy they can block pushes in mid air.

^ If you think about it, shouldn't really be that hard. What you have to do is find out how to 'unlock' the Force potential in the person. Everybody is permated to the Force, since they can be affected by it. The Jedi just know how to affect IT as well. You'd figure bio-research in the Old Republic would've found the answer. Quick thought - could such research have perhaps been forbidden? The Jedi were the Republic's sticky glue, they had great respect and honor. Could the Council have pushed the Senate to limit Force research to finding potentials? A sort of 'preserve our mystique' thing? After all, if anyone could unlock their Force sensitivity, the Jedi Order would be meaningless. Regardless, I doubt it would've been a big leap if scientists had tried. The Valley was just a shortcut.

And Force Choke wasn't the best idea. Reborn had an irritating tendency to block it even in the air. But it was fun to see a hapless Stormie get choked, Pushed and slashed up. Who's the elite trooper now, baby?

Revan:

Huh? Tell that to my DEMO of JO, which had the Reborn repeatedly blocking a level two Push in mid-air.

So it can happen JO also, so what and reborns or even Desann never blocks Force Choke they just Force Push you.

In Jedi Academy all you have to do is force lightning the unarmed cultists and choke the light sabre cultists as when you choke then they turn of their sabre. Quick choke then slash

You WERE claiming that only JA cultists could do that. Just set it straight. Though I did forget to mention it took a few Pushes for the strategy to work.

Further, I never got Grip to WORK in mid-air, so I assumed they blocked it. And it doesn't always work on the ground, either.

Force Grip is very hard to use, since it needs to aimed.

It seem worded my post badly since I meant that at least in Jedi Academy both the Reborn and cultists can block Force Push.

PS. I have used Grip in mid air.

You do realize you just ruined my work, right? Now I'll be loading up JO and JA trying to get Grip to work in mid-air.... You truly are a Dark Lord.

But cultists? Meh, introduce them to a full tank of Lightning and squash the buggers.

Lightning sucks so I never use it and you need luck to get the Grip work mid air, I've used it mid air once or twice. I would Absorb on cultist since they tend to use Force a lot times since when don't use it, they make close contact with your saber.

Offense is the best form of defense. Why bother with Absorb when you can fry the ****ers?

Further, this is PRICELESS aganst Stormies.

Walk in.

Hit Lightning and hold.

Watch entire room collapse.

Walk out.

Also usefull against those AT-PTs.

Faqa, why did you censor the word fuck?

Fuck is fine word.

Excuse me but what game are you playing? Force Lightning 3 is second behind force heal in terms of usefulness. Whole rooms of regular baddies are wiped out at the touch of a button and the unarmed cultists that use force powers against you are fried easily. no longer do you wonder why the Emperor uses lightning instead of force choke!

More priceless Force Pull their weapons and chase them around the room

Do you mean AT-STs and with Absorb you can get hit by lightning and say
"that was good" 8) .

What the hell are the Reborn?

Faqa: I'm kinda with IP. What gives? SDN doesn't have any censor blocks, and nobody honestly cares if you use profanity. Really, censoring yourself just wastes time.

No, I meant AT-PTs. Y'know, those big black bots that shoot a crap-load of laser and a bowcaster bolt, among others. They go down to a full tank.

The main problem with Pull is that it's only useful for weapon yanking at level 3. Before that, it doesn't pull far enough so they tend to run.. yep right into their guns. But when it works, it's fun. It was better in JK I.

AT-STs... I have a better strategy for them. It requires Force Speed and the WASD keys...
Even a full tank of Lightning serves only to make them mad....
HTF did Ewoks beat these guys? They're the biggest badasses in the game(counting Desann - all he's got is that cheating 'half-way-across-the-room' Push to back him up. Feels more like playing against a Hacker. In a Saber fight, he goes down. And he looks stupid, but that's a seperate matter).

Spanky:

I'll keep that in mind about censors. But I spend a lot of time on the GameFaqs boards, so it's a habit.

And Reborn are beings(though they're all human in the game) infused with the power of the Valley of the Jedi, a burial ground for Jedi apparantly. Basically, an excuse for lots of lovely saber fights in Jedi Knight II and Jedi Academy. Try it, if you haven't. You'll like it.

The coolest thing is:

Using grip or push or pull (grip and pull are easiest) to send a Reborn flying into the air, then PAUSING the game and listen to the scream go on for about a full minute.

Actually, that's the second coolest thing. The coolest thing is doing it to Luke Skywalker.

He screams like a girl.
