First, let me post this.
MACE WINDU
Probing the Dark Side is a dangerous process. He could be in seclusion for days... May the force be with you.
SW AOTC script(deleted scene of Obiwan and Mace Windu walking to his fighter)

This dialogue isn't found in the deleted scene.

Also,
YODA:And only those who have turned to the Dark Side can sense the possibilities of the future. Only going through the Dark Side can we see.
SW AOTC script( scene of Yoda and Mace walking down the hallway, discussing about the dark side. Deleted)

What do you think of this?

To me, this confirms a niggling detail in my head. The ROTJ novelisation, all seems to suggest that Vader turned to the dark side because it was an easier, quicker path. Yoda and Obiwan feared that Luke Skywalker would not be able to face the temptation, BUT, that this was what would determine his passage as a jedi. His test against Vader, his pitting against vader in a duel, to defeat evil without becoming evil, would prove his passage as a jedi. Mace Windu in his conversation with Yoda, in the novelisation stated that his trial against Maul proved that he was worthy of being a jedi, could it mean the same? I.e, he was of pure enough strenght to utilise agression without turning evil.

Also, dittos to Dark Empire references.

Clearly, there is a clear division between "Dark" and "Light" in the Force. However, just as Yin and Yang is clearly divided, they are also the same, and they both comprise one half, and are of the whole. Just as Yin is of Yang, and Yang is of Yin, the creative, living forces of "Light", requires the destructive, killing forces of "Dark" to be complete, and that a Jedi, with his knowledge of the Force, must know both aspects.

Oops, I forgot to add this.

The script differs dramatically from the onscreen and novelisation. So.......................................................

What are the two different versions?

Let me see,

For one, the movie and the novelisation didn't have Yoda entering into seclusion to probe the Dark side.

Outside of this, the script had R2D2 and Threepio stuck on board Amidala yacht throughout the battle, the attack on the droid control station was more dramatic than in the novelisation, (Backstreet boys blowing up perhaps?), the Genosians used "ray guns" that were harder to deflect, Jango Fett and Mace Windu didn't disengage at all and fought throughout the arena battle.

There's probably a couple more, but I didn't probe through the script that deeply.

In the movie, their weapons were still harder to deflect then normal blasters.

They are impossible to deflect IIRC.
