JK2 Lightsabre Style

What lightsabre style do you use the most after getting the strong style? I stick with fast.

Aww shit. I left out the Strong option. Could one of the mods fix it or something? Thanks.

Depends; for multiplayer, Strong style is the only way to go. For single player, Medium style is probably the best for saber dueling, while Light style is preferable for dispatching stormies and such.

Fast and Strong are the ONLY options. There is just no way that Medium can compete with either one. I generally use the FAST style when in combat against multiple opponents, and strong against a single opponent.

In terms of single player, Strong just doesn't measure up. Fast is the way to go with normal enemies... when you throw on your Force Speed, you've got to be able to dispatch at least three or four enemies before it wears off.

Fast all the way, In Multie Player I can make Yoda look slow when nessary as I've perfected the random Spike Speagle/Drunken Master style Saber Fighting Tecnique when I was playing JN2

The whole multiplaying sword fighting system sucks, the SP one rocks.

I never use any guns, even in multiplayer. The sabre is too versatile. Specifically, I use light 99% of the time, and have my controls set so I can instantly switch one to the next, so within a second, I usually advance on light, and after a brief exchange, swath through on strong mode and kill quickly.

In the MP I use the strong one 80% of the time, but switch to fast and medium, especially the back-stabbing attack of the fast one is useful.
In SP the light one usually suffices, although I sometimes switch to the strong style when fighting shadow troopers at the highest difficulty setting.

I agree. It's all about luck and swinging wildly. Sometimes I started a MP game against 3 bots just to practice but it's too unrealistic and you really don't have any control.

After that I just started loading saved games against the most important foes (like when you first fight against 2 hooded jedis, and the first time the two armored evil jedis come) and play them over and over seeing the most efficient method of killing them.

My record is the two hooded guys, with a swing and a backward attack (I couldn't believe my eyes how cool that looked! pity I didn't record it to video or something) basically two in one combo.

Man I really wish I hadn't stopped playing JK II now. I'd own all your asses. Fast can't break through if someone blocks and Hard is way to damn slow. I used to side slip and manuver people I caught using the Hard stance and dice em up. The fast, I'd let em try and hack in and then just take em out. Medium. Live by it, or die!!!

I actually almost never play multiplayer because the 'stop motion' single player sword fighting rocks. I have a save spot at the end part where you enter the academy and have to fight off a whole horde of Reborn just before you follow Desann into the labyrinth. i usually casually make sure all the fellow jedi get kicked off and then see if I can take out the ten or so Reborn in my way without getting hacked to bits.

I just spawned dozens of the things and I had the realistic saber turned all the way up, man it was cool, I spawned 50 of those hooded 'things' and I killed them all! :D

I discovered something about Desann ... when you fight him in the last level; I was repeatedly getting killed by running around. However, by keeping my hand on shift and walking around ... I fucking OWNED him.

I don't get it ... light side dark side thing or something?

Dang with Realestic and FF on(Friend of my knows how I don't but its so NPC's Sabers can hurt each other)

You get some crazy ones

One for example

The Three Hooded in the Pool Room on Cloud City

Alright walk in jumped by two here comes the third

Backflip block two slashs from the first two switch to Fast 2(Avaible by cheating only its the Evil lady Jedi's style) dive left come up swing twice then spin slice first one in half, turn second one is jumping at me, Force throw him back he looses his saber the third one charges and the second lands on him

And 2 is cut in half by 3's saber

3 Charges I go into Jedi Medative for a second to turn of saber he charges at me then I Grip him, walk him into the next room as he's chocking and calmly drop him into the Abyss

Ahhh JK2 great game

Actually, all you need to do is pull those two switches before fighting. They activate the "God Machine," and when you jump through the red beam in the middle of the arena, you become invincible for about 15 seconds.

That was actually an interesting homage to the Sith Wars comics. In those comics, Exar Kun used an identical-looking facility that took the energies of the Massassi and put it into him. I'm betting that this is what it is (but where's the energy coming from? Hapless trainees?)

Force speed with the "fast" lightsaber style is the most reliable method of killing him, short of the two little levers. Wait for him to swing, then jump in and hit him in the face as many times as you can. It will kill him almost every time, and usually with him getting in only a glancing blow in return.

That makes sense. Yavin 4 was Exar Kun's stronghold. As for the energy, not sure. Maybe it's the power of all the Reborn and Shadowtroopers you killed in the previous level (long shot, I know, but still :D ).

Yeah, I got through the game the first couple of times using this neat trick, but after a while it just gets boring and feels cheap, because there aren't many enemies that can withstand being hacked with fast style slashes while on Force Speed. I think it's more fun to play without this trick.

you do know that you can attack the pillars in that room and when the fall over it kills desann. that's half the reason for the invincible beam.

I don't know about any tricks in Desann's level, all I remember is that he kicked my ass so much while running around it wasn't funny. Then I said "WTF" and just walked towards him, I ducked when he slashed and I did a normal swing and he got split in two with a single blow!

I only managed that once. Desann had gotten himself trapped, with the pillar between us, and I used my rockets on him. Any other time he just pushes my shots back at me. Annoying.
