Does anyone here know what an Imperial K.S.U. is? It is clearly a unit for length measurment as we can see here:

http://www.theforce.net/swtc/Pix/kdy/blueisd4.gif

and it seems to be a unit that is like aproximatly 42 meters long. But what does the K the S and the U stand for? Any one know for sure? Maybe from some ILM sources?

I don't recall ever coming accross 'K.S.U' anywhere before in the EU ... fanart/fanfiction maybe?

I've heard of it. Well, with that scale you already have your answer. Decameter = 10 meters. K.S.U. ~=40 m.

DonĀ“t know.

Kuati Standard Unit, perhaps?

An ISD would be 40 KSU long that way.

From a practical standpoint, a 40m long unit is rather silly. It's much too large for measurement of everyday items but much too short for measuring travel distances.

Could be a measurement unit for ships and ship building.

That's a fucking retarded idea. You think that every piece of a ship is hundreds of meters long?

I thought it might be a measurement for ship sections. There's not really anything that fits. *shrug*

I don't think it exists anymore.
