Now then, with that out of the way: In the spirit of the poll on who we think will kill Darth Tyranus, who do you think will kill Mace Windu? I think I've covered anyone remotely likely that I know of, and at least one unlikely one as well. (I was going to add "Industrial accident" as an option, but ran out of options and wanted to add "Other." )

Having anyone but Vader do it would be inapprorpriate since the whole story is basically about his fall and redemption. Windu's death at Vader's hands will not only demonstrate how uber powerful he is, but will also effectively symbolize the Jedi purge without actually showing us Vader hunt down the rest of them.

I think Mace WIndu will be Vader's first Jedi kill to show that he will bring about their downfall since Mace is supposed to be, perhaps, the best warrior in the Jedi Order at the time.

Just to point out: While I think it would be awesome as all hell to have Boba Fett get his revenge with comprehension dawning in Windu's eyes right before he's killed, its not likely given that Boba will be in his mid teens at the oldest at the time of RotS, I believe.

We don't know how long the Jedi purge actually takes. For all we know, Vader could have been busily hunting down Jedi in the years following ROTS and leading up to ANH. During that time, I can imagine Fett working for the Empire, helping Vader find elusive Jedi rebels or even going solo and dragging them in for a hefty bounty (assuming he doesn't simply disintegrate them on sight). In fact, their dialogue in TESB alludes to a prior working relationship such as this.

I know, but unless the movie covers a span of years and the entire Jedi purge, Fett won't be old enough or experienced enough to be plausibly hunting and killing Windu, since he basically has to die in the movie. (I do not deny that Fett and Vader had a possibly longstanding business relationship by the time of TESB, but I doubt that it started when Fett was 15.)

While I can imagine Fett earning bounties at the age of 15, I have no desire to see him in ROTS or watch him kill Windu when Vader should be the one to do the deed.

If anything, denying Fett the kill would be better. It would only fuel his neverending desire for revenge against the Jedi, like a darker version of Batman.

Oh I don't know if he used the Slave I, or liberal amounts of explosives. I mean just alot of people could take out a jedi. If they had an automatic grenade-luancher and didn't care about colateral.

And no, I don't count the clonetroopers as Mandalorians.

No, the only way a non Jedi would kill a Jedi without an army is by some kind of MASSIVE explosion...a nuke, maybe? Seismic mine? Concussion missle?

Age matters not if young Boba is in the Slave 1 and drops a seismic charge on Mace while he is in battle.

Well, my dear Spanky, what other reason does Mace have for existing if not to look cool? You've got Samuel L. Jackson playing the coolest motherfucking jedi out there and that's all he's supposed to be. Of course, ROTS may prove that Mace is more than just a cool dude. Right now, he's about as deep as OT Boba Fett. The old school cool.

Besides, from what we have heard, Windu's death COULDN'T involve that 12-year-old, because it's been said that his death scene involves a 100+ move lightsabre fight, IIRC...

SPOILER!! The same source also says that it will be Anakin. They don't mention if it's as himself or Vader though.

I would prefer Dooku, seeing two Jedi Masters (of realitively the same size) fight would be a high point in the movie. But I don't see it happening from what I've heard.

Anikin's big moment is with Obi, so I really think an Anikin V Windu is redundent. So I'll vote for Grievious. He's suppost to be the big bad ass anti Jedi mo fo so it'll be the contrast for the Jedi bad ass that is Samuel Jackson.

Yeah, but that would be anticlimactic as it comes. IF Fett kills Windu, it had better be done right, with Windu realizing just who this is and why he's there before he dies. Dying from an air-dropped bomb when he's not looking would just be lame no matter how you slice it.
