"The academy is also offering special modules for true devotees, like cooking some of the dishes seen in the Star Wars films including Wookiee Cookies, Princess Leia Danish donughts, Sand Trooper sandwiches and Twin Sun toasts."

Odd. I don't remember seeing any of those things in the movies.

I wonder if I can get a job there teaching Wookiee...

really, though, do Europeans love Star Wars more than us? I seem to recall "Jedi" being the fifth-largest religion on the UK census a few years ago.

Well then, do we or do we not have an obligation to enlist them?

Well, as a european non-newb, i say yes, theres more than just Sw dont forget, it could attract a lot of people, Thus creating more infidels for the mods to mock/destroy/abuse and then we might get more money in the pot :)

Therefore, God indeed exists

I was kidding.

On another hand, this reminds me of the Aussie attempt a couple of years back to make Jedi an accepted religion in the outback.

I just been thinking. I don't believe in any religion. But I believe in god as a force that exists in all living things. I wonder how similar that is to the jedi belief.

they belive the force binds all things together, no matter how big or small

(except for some pesky species who arnt in it, and therefore suck cause they smashed the NR and the jedi...)

Trek's already a religion!

The "Jedi Religion" in the Australian and UK censuses (censi?) were publicity stunts (a way of protesting religious profiling & the census in general). There is no officially recognized "Jedi Religion" although you can find some websites that talk about "Jediism."

It's akin to putting "Mickey Mouse" for your religion, or "Purple" for your "Race/Ethnicity." Those records are simply thrown out, and the number of "Jedi" entries a mere curiosity.

Now this "Jediism" philosophy (found on those few websites):
From what I gathered, it's just (Zen) Buddhism with some Star Wars terms tossed in for fun.

There's people out there that think they can throw "energy balls" like Dragonball Z if they concentrate hard enough...

And who's to say that "Europeans" don't visit this site? ; )

PS: (joke stolen from a Fark poster) The Wookiee Cookies sound good, but are they 'Chewie?' Image

I know when i filled in my census i put down Jedi Knight simply to fuck up the numbers. As far as New Labour knows i'm a Meat Popsicle, Jedi, hermafrodide, professional juggler.
