He lives. Last time he was seen he killed several Vong with help from others wearing the same uniform. Actually his friends scalped several Vong.

I thought Han killed him in Tales of The Bounty Hunters?

Boba Fett was one of the most anticipated apperances of the NJO and here's now's a good time to mention the Sernpidal Theory. Basically, right after Vector Prime came out, a guy at the force.net message boards named Darth Ludicrous got it into his head that it would be pretty funny if that old crazy mayor guy on Sernpidal, the one who jumps down the hole to kill the dovin basal, was a retired Boba Fett. Though almost no one really thought that that was what Del Rey and Salvatore had intended, the theory found a surprising resiliency through JC in-jokes, people asking VIPs about it, etc. This was also boosted by the fact that Fett was nowhere to be seen for basically the entire NJO.

The Unifying Force, I believe it was. Boba Fett nukes Vong like nuts, blasts them off Han's tail (and he mentions to Han that it was never personal- Han was just cargo). And as said above, he and his buddies scalp a few of them.
They even make the Vong get scared :)

I didn't know he was still alive after RotJ. I thought he was eaten by the Sarlaac after Han whacked his jetpack.

He was. In EU he... escapes. And makes the sarlaac pay. And comes back every year to make it pay again and again.

I'd have to re-read the story for the actual ending (although, as I recall, they seem to come to terms), BUT, I do remember that it takes place far into the future, even further than NJO.

Nope. Neither of them kill each other in that story.

Huh? I have only hazy memories of one of the books but I seem to recall them mentioning Xizor and Black Sun.

Yes, what the thread is refering to is the last story in the Tales of the Bounty Hunters book, where an aging Han Solo and Boba Fett face off and then abandon their rivalry.

Check the inside covers of NJO books. Tales of the Bounterhunters takes place before NJO.

Well, let's see. About ten years old in AOTC, so in his thirties by the time of the Classic Era, and then around his late fifties/early sixties by the start of the NJO.

Um, that was kind of the point of the TofBH story: that Fett and Solo were getting too old to continue their feud.

Yes. IIRC, about 100-120 years average for Humans.

If Boba Fett was 12 during Episode 2, he would be 34 by ANH, 40 by ROTJ, and 65 by the time of NJO.

A 60 year old man whooping Vong butt...

Additionally, according to that story, one of Fett's legs was cybernetic below the knee, and (IIRC) he had cancer.

The cancer was being treated and he was looking at a new leg. So both should be gone since one story is him nailing a massive bounty to pay for it.

And given the state of medical tech for Star Wars, the idea of a 65 year old that's in good shape whipping ass is plauisble enough.

I never read it. I'm shocked that nobody has brought back Darth Maul yet, but that's probably Lucas's intervention. ; )

As to the age thing, who knows, but all the dudes we see whipping butt at such an old age are Jedi/Sith (well, I can't speak for the entire EU).

IIRC, the timeline placement for the "Tales of" books are just general guides, since the actual timeframe of individual stories can vary quite broadly.

Agreed. I got the impression in the Boba Fett story in ToTBH that both he and Solo were definitely getting on in years; it mentions Solo flying out of Coruscant, though, so it's obvious it's before NJO.

Han is, what, 50ish in the NJO era? and Fett's about ten, twenty years older... advanced medtech notwithstanding, they're both gonna be feeling their oats. After all, even Obi-wan complained that he was "getting too old for this kind of thing" in ANH... and he was maybe in his sixties.
