He was. In EU he... escapes. And makes the sarlaac pay. And comes back every year to make it pay again and again.Gil Hamilton wrote:I didn't know he was still alive after RotJ. I thought he was eaten by the Sarlaac after Han whacked his jetpack.
I'd have to re-read the story for the actual ending (although, as I recall, they seem to come to terms), BUT, I do remember that it takes place far into the future, even further than NJO.Gandalf wrote:I thought Han killed him in Tales of The Bounty Hunters?
Nope. Neither of them kill each other in that story.Gandalf wrote:I thought Han killed him in Tales of The Bounty Hunters?
Huh? I have only hazy memories of one of the books but I seem to recall them mentioning Xizor and Black Sun.BUT, I do remember that it takes place far into the future, even further than NJO.

Well, let's see. About ten years old in AOTC, so in his thirties by the time of the Classic Era, and then around his late fifties/early sixties by the start of the NJO.Kurgan wrote:Dang fett-lovin' fanboys keep the poor bastard alive for another adventure...!
Seriously though, wouldn't he be an old man by now?
Um, that was kind of the point of the TofBH story: that Fett and Solo were getting too old to continue their feud.Kurgan wrote:Dang fett-lovin' fanboys keep the poor bastard alive for another adventure...!

Yes. IIRC, about 100-120 years average for Humans.Agent Fisher wrote:yeah but do we know what life expectancy is in SW?
The cancer was being treated and he was looking at a new leg. So both should be gone since one story is him nailing a massive bounty to pay for it.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Additionally, according to that story, one of Fett's legs was cybernetic below the knee, and (IIRC) he had cancer.
I never read it. I'm shocked that nobody has brought back Darth Maul yet, but that's probably Lucas's intervention. ; )Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Um, that was kind of the point of the TofBH story: that Fett and Solo were getting too old to continue their feud.Kurgan wrote:Dang fett-lovin' fanboys keep the poor bastard alive for another adventure...!

IIRC, the timeline placement for the "Tales of" books are just general guides, since the actual timeframe of individual stories can vary quite broadly.Alyeska wrote:Check the inside covers of NJO books. Tales of the Bounterhunters takes place before NJO.
Agreed. I got the impression in the Boba Fett story in ToTBH that both he and Solo were definitely getting on in years; it mentions Solo flying out of Coruscant, though, so it's obvious it's before NJO.Lord of the Farce wrote:IIRC, the timeline placement for the "Tales of" books are just general guides, since the actual timeframe of individual stories can vary quite broadly.Alyeska wrote:Check the inside covers of NJO books.
