VSD bridge struture

There pole like struture that extend forward from bridge EGVV calls it a forward observation station, but since I got that for Saxton's site and not from book itself I don't know for the station is used for. Also is there any picture of the inside of main bridge of a VSD1 (the Victory itself to be more presice, but any VSD1 will do as the bridge is probaly identical)

That is a KDY design and as such displays the KDY-style tower and its command bridge.

Umm, that looks nothing like the bridge of other KDY ships. And the VSD is a Rendili ship.

Whats with the bridge design of the VSD anyway? I mean, how much sense does it make to stick your CnC out on a stick away from the (possibly) heavily armored conning tower? I love the VSD in many way, but I just dont see why it would have its bridge so exposed

IIRC, I don't think that was the bridge (the observation needle), I believe the bridge was still in the main bulk of the tower. But that needle sticking out was just a
forward observation suite
