Imperial Fleet at the beginning of Endor
The following screengrab (~200K PNG24) shows what is probably the majority of the Imperial fleet at the beginning.
For the more distant objects, I counted anything that vaguely resembled an ISD as one (since ILM's stars are more or less perfect dots). From there, I counted 32 ISDs and 1 SSD.

I count 33 and 1.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong
But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

There´s definetely 31+ ISD I´s and II´s, with some "BB"-ships here and there and the Executor in the middle (the "ICS" probably hiding behind it).
Wonder if some of the smaller support-ships seen later on belong to the Imperial fleet? I recall some of them being close to the Imps seemingly without getting shot at. They´d be too small to be noticed in the distance of that particular image.

From that distance? Surely you jest...Kazuaki Shimazaki wrote:I could only see 30 of them. Some of them are pretty small - for all I know it might be a fighter...

One of the ships seems to have a disproportionately tall taower. Maybe that's it?Darth Garden Gnome wrote:Somewhere out there is the communications vessel. Supposedly, it's larger than an ISD, so it's either obscured by the SSD or simply off screen.
Interesting that they upped the number of destroyers though. Originally it was only 22

I can't see that one. What I do see is a vessel that doesn't have a tower at all. The tower on all the ISDs is very noticable, even at distances where the ship in question is an itty bitty dot. Take a look at the ship that's the very highest on the screen; go the very right edge of the SSD and go straight up, you'll see it. It looks more like a Mon Cal than any Imperial warship I can think of.Ender wrote:One of the ships seems to have a disproportionately tall taower. Maybe that's it?

I count 33 ISDs and 1 SSD. The ship at the edge of the screen probably has its tower cut off by the top of the screen. I seriously doubt any of the shapes are the mysterious "communications ship" people talk about, because why would ILM go through the trouble of making one unique shape among the ISDs?

Maybe it's just the edge of the universe.Darth Garden Gnome wrote:Ohh shit, is this wide-screen? I couldn't even tell that there were the black bands on the screen. They did atleast 2x in the original filsm - the unnamed bayless destroyer and you see a ship ~1/3rd the length of the Executor from the Emperor's window. The latter is believed to be the communications ship.StarshipTitanic wrote:I count 33 ISDs and 1 SSD. The ship at the edge of the screen probably has its tower cut off by the top of the screen. Plus the scene with the Executor-style command-tower that had multiple bridges and some battledamage. This is also attributed the "Communications Ship".They did atleast 2x in the original filsm - the unnamed bayless destroyer and you see a ship ~1/3rd the length of the Executor from the Emperor's window.
