Straight Up Space Combat

I found an edited version of the SE Battle of Endor which cuts out all scenes other than the space battle. I think it's great for those who just want to watch the battle without having to deal with the rest of the storyline.
You can download it here.

Sweetness.
Funnily enough something I wanted given how much I liked the Battle of Endor.

"Cutted"? Heh...
Anyway, that's pretty cool.

Sweetness! thanks, IRG!!!
On a completely unrelated note, that's an awfully large Corellian Corvette the Falcon is evading at 1:26. Maybe that's what Allston's 'Carrier Corvette' is base on?
(My apologies if this has been done to death before)

Well not the entire battlescene was in it, but most of it.

Really? What's missing?

They cut a few seconds there at the beginning for no apparent reason.
"We should be getting some reading on that shield, up or down."
"`````````````"
Cut. Then immediately thereafter:
"Break off the attack! The shield is still up!"
"I get no reading. Are you sure?"
Also cut.
Edit: And then later:
"Han will have that shield down, we've gotta give him more time!"
And:
"The shield is down!"
Though the rest of that line, "Commence attack on the Death Star's main reactor!" is still there. *Shrug*

Those bits refer to action that would have been cut out to make the clip right?
That could be why.

Not the first two. The fact of the jamming making detection of the shield impossible helped make the space battle what it was.

I didn't see the scene with the "subtype III" ISD. The Falcon destroys a TIE and an X-wing fires at the bridge tower of the ISD.
Still a great watch, though.

Subtype III? That'd be the one without the hangar bay? It's in there. (Though I'm still not convinced that we're not merely seeing the dorsal surface of an ISD, since if that was the ventral surface, it was upside down relative to every other ship in it's formation.)

But the thing about the shield being up or down refers to whether Solo's group has accomplished its mission or not.

The one from
the picture here. Regarding it, Saxton says "It could be a third subclass of the
Imperator destroyers, or it could be something altogether different."

Very nice, very nice indeed. I wish it was a bit bigger though.

Awesome!
I never realized that the shot of Falcon heading away from the DS2 with the rebel fleet and Endor in the background was new (the shot just before the DS2 blows up). You can see the ships moving away, unlike the pre-SE scenes, where the cap ships looked stationary, IIRC!
Looks fantastic!

Hmm....I just noticed what appears to be a pair of HTL blasts from 4:32 to 4:35 when Piett is saying to intensify forward firepower. It hits an ISD and continues towards a Mon Cal, you see a flash and then it goes off-screen. Anyone know if that's a pair of HTLs or a flight of starfighters?

Definitely HTL blasts. No fighter can move that fast, or even be visible at that range.

Not that I agree that they are starfighters, but it is possible that they could be starfighters at a closer range zooming by, one blowing up while the other goes past the Mon Cal and off-screen.
