I was just curious if any one else knows of a source that the Brown Wampa was in besides the video game Shadows the the Empire and the novel. in the game the manuel reads Wampa: coming in various forms the more common the ice wampa. than it went on to talk about the wampa (brown one) in the Gall Spaceport level.

I believe it was something the game designers threw in just for varity. I read this in a game magazine some years ago though, but I think it was because they had the model and program for a wampa and didn't want to keep it on just one level.

Is the title implying who would win in a fight? Because if it is, I haven't the slightest clue...they're both...wampas...

Easy. If they fight in the desert, the ice wampa is hindered by the heat and the brown one wins. If they fight in the ice, the ice wampa wins and the other one freezes. Anywhere else they both die.

Gall is actually mostly forest. That level takes place in a canyon.
Wampas are indigenous to Hoth, but have been exported. I find it highly unlikley that they could have been brought to an uninhabited moon, released and able to adapt to a completely alien environment. If there are wampa-like creatures on Gall, my money's on simple convergent evolution. Making them not really similar at all.

I read in a EGM magazine preview for shadows of the empire, that the game designers have said that the brown wampa was a genetically engineered ice wampa that was captured during the battle of Hoth.

Then there's the Blue/Green "Swamp Wampas" in Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith. ; )
