Do we know anything about this? I mean, we know they maintain extensive fleets at Ronthana, that they could field a fleet that included star dreadnaughts and star battlecruisers, but do we know how many ships and the breakdown? What about troops? It's just between the thread here about Trek pissing KDY off by stealing their tech with cloaked ships and their likely response and reading people arguing about star dreadnaughts at TFN, its just gotten me thinking.

I don't think so- the AOTC ICS is really all we have to go on at this point- their extensive fleets protected their entire sector, however, not just Rothana.

Imperial Sourcebook stated they had their own Imperial sector fleet assigned to protect the sector was based out of there starsystem along with the vast defenses of the shipyard and any ships in the system at any time

They had several Star Destroyers and armed platforms and a sizable fleet the X-wing books with Wraith Squadron. It was considered an incredibly impressive fleet to disable the defenses and steal a SSD out of KDY.

Yet, in Tales of the New Republic, a mere squadron of Y-wings along with some ships captured a major Kuat shipyard. And betrays no sense of security awareness whatsoever, by blabbing about Endor.
Sigh..........

In fairness the emperor has just died and no-one in the imperial fleet knew WTF was happening.

In addition to the other comment, maybe they overhauled security afterwards. In that book, security was so tight that if someone tried to steal a ship, the stations docked with that under construction ship would self destruct and take out the stolen ship.
