Star Wars Species *???*
Any questions about Star Wars species can be posted here, but I had questions of my own to start with.
I was wondering-- does anyone know what the name of the species Yoda is?
Also: the species of the double-headed announcer at the Boonta Eve podrace?
And another-- I remember in "Tales from Jabba's Palace" that the green, mean, wrinkly-faced skiff guards were called "Weequays", but I've also seen them called "Klatoonians" and that many of them are named after a famous hero, "Barada", which sometimes serves as an alternate species name. (I know they were named after "Klaatu, Barada, Nikto" from "The Day the Earth Stood Still). Is there a consistent, reliable source for these guys?
Thanks-- my info comes from the EU book "Tales From Jabba's Palace" but the "Klatoonian" reference comes from "Star Wars Insider". Sources aren't matching up!

Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!
If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!
Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Weequays, Klatoonians, and Nikto are three different races. Yes he was. This is actually interesting. Barada was actually the name of the species, as used by the people who were making them. They also used some other names, from one of Asimov's books. However, the names of the species were changed by the EU, and because they were never named in canonical films/novelizations, the official names of the species are Klatoonian, Nikto, and Weequay.Lex wrote:wasn't barada Jabba's enginer?
Yaddle is of the species that Yoda is, however Even Piell (the pink one with the eye-injury) is not, despite their similar appearance. Interspecies breeding is nearly impossible, though you grossly under-inflate the number of species. There are probably a billion species of life on Earth alone.
