The role of Qui-Gon in ROTS

I wonder what role he'll play if any in ROTS? In TPM he is the one that sets Anakin on the path, gives Obi Wan his rebellious streak and plants in Anakin the seeds that he is special and has a destiny, arguably giving Anakin the sense of self righteous importance about his own skills that helps set him down on the dark path.

In AOTC there was a scene planned with a ghost Qui-Gon appearing before Anakin that was scrapped when Liam Neeson was in a motorcycle accident but we did get Qui Gon's (or what was supposed to be Qui-Gon's) voice protesting against Anakin losing it on the Tuskens. (Anakin..No Anakin...Noooo!!) He is also mentioned by Dooku in his attempt to turn Obi Wan as a person who would have agreed with the Sith agenda.

So what will we see of Qui Gon in ROTS? GL has heavily hinted that Qui Gon will have some role to play in the discovery of the skill that allows a Jedi to hang arouond as a ghost. Will teh Qui-Gon ghost make an appearnace in ROTS? Will he play any role at all? It wold be interesting to see him make some mark in this film rounding out his importance in the rest of the series.

If I recall, Qui-Gon himself will not be appearing in RotS at all, but mention of him might be made.

Yeah he was laid up for months with a broken collar bone and some other injuries. I believe he got clipped by another motorist or slid out on a highway while motoring through Ireland.

Here's the Force.Net's notes on ROTS and Qui-Gon.
* Qui-Gon Jinn is not forgotten in Ep3, especially by those closest to him.

* Qui-Gon's actions and choices in TPM shape the events of the saga in such important ways, such as the developing Anakin/Obi-Wan dynamic.

* We will not see any Jedi spirits in ROTS, but it will be explained why some Jedi have the ability to appear as spirits and others do not.

I remember that. IIRC, he wasn't in any direct mortal danger, but he got pretty fucked up. They had to postpone production of Gangs of New York (I think) for several months for him to properly recover.
