Jedi Knight Two: Your Greatest Saber Battle!

Post by Smiling Bandit »

Since so many people wanted to post their bestest battles in that other thread, I thought people might like this. Post your most fun, wierd, or silly battles with a 'Saber in JKII. Multiplayer optional.

Tapion's fight: This one sucks, since she's about 600 times faster than you, has froce lightening, and her style seems to be a hell of a lot better. I remember that first time I fought her, got my but whooped but good. So the next fight I dodged around, learned her pattern. Then lured her to the cliff and threw her off.

She flew back. I paused the game and rubbed my eyes to make sure I wasn't hallucinating at this.

Nope, she wasn't.

Eventually I managed to wear her down and whack her, though I had fun force pushing her off the cliff again and again for a half-hour (see, the regen rate on my force powers went quick enough I could push her off and see her fly back...)

Desann's fight:

I finally got past to this ugly SOB. The first time I didn't fight him so much as watch him and learn his moves. Then I went up and started wailing on him with Force Speed + Fast Style. I got a couple of light hits, but his blocking went very well.

Then he turns, slashes, and kills me in one hit. Annoying.

So I fight him again. This time I go Medium style + Speed; and when he slashes I dodge back, change to fast Style, and slash his face into hamburger! Wham Bam, Fights over.

Cortosis Weave Darksiders:
When you first meet these bad boys, they're in a platformed room (looks like some sort of training room) I was not too surprised when they turned out to be a lot tougher than I had experienced before.

I start leaping and slashing. I get bored at this, so I just Push them down when they come to mer. SInce I'm up so high they are jumping up to ceiling, they fall down and die (after many jumps). :)

My favorite tatic so far, and it worked on Tapion, the Reborn, and Darktrooper, is to have my lightsabre in my hand turned off. Have either fast or medium style selected. When your opponent closes within lightsabre range, turn on your sabre. As Kyle ignites his sabre and brings it up to bear, it slashes most enemies right up the middle.

Most of the time if you time it right, you can turn your lightsabre on and off pretty quickly and the net effect is that you kill your opponent with just a split second use of your lightsabre and you look like a complete bad ass.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

My favorite trick is an upward slash coupled with a jump, looks cool as hell in slo-mo. I have a great screenshot I could post were posting pics not such a pain in the ass.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.
