I just got ahold of them as a double feature at Walmart, they had it advertised, just thought some of you might want to know.

At least it's this and not the 1978 holiday special. If that ever sees the light of day...

In my opinion the movies really weren't that bad, not bad at all really.

A little silly, maybe, but not actually bad.

I agree with Spanky. If you can put aside any hatred of Ewoks (well, if you have something against the critters, you're probably wasting your time anyway), they're kinda fun for fantasy tv.

There are pretty whimsical (good thing or bad thing, you decide). If you can't stomach a shape-shifting witch with a magic ring for example...

I enjoyed them as a kid and thought they were alright as an adult (watched them a few months back).

Not even comparable to the SWHS, though it would be neat to see that one on DVD, just for curiosity (and completeness) sake. ; )

Plus I got both for $9.99 so it's really good, of course they also had two more disks (Ewoks and Droids) with the full series' for the same price.

I never saw these. I'll run down to the store and pick them up.

They're not the full series, just selected episodes that form little "movies" or something. There are no current plans to release full sets for Droids or Ewoks at this time.

Screw Droids or Ewoks. All I'm after are the Clone Wars box-sets... 8)

A two-disc (at the most) set is not a box, silly boy. :P

Seriously, I expect Clone Wars to be nothing but a single or two disc release, due to the shear shortness of the material.

It won't. Lucas wants every copy destroyed last I checked. Now, I have the whole thing in a very low-res format on my hard drive, but I can't get past the first five minutes. It's that stupid.

Except that there are rumors of more being made to fit inbetween AotC and RotS, they'd probably split it into two cases to make more cash anyway. But I'd buy it if it had something like Jedi Starfighter's My Day at Work bonus material.

And the final product will still fit on only one disc, as it won't be more than two hours in length.

*dreams* SWHS: The Special Edition! "The 1978 version no longer exists in my mind. This is how it was always intended..." *wakes up sweating!*

The CW series right now is up to 100 minutes. How long is the new series ("season 3") supposed to be? I thought I heard the eps would be 20 minutes each (and if that's so, then that's five more eps at 100 minutes, thus 200 minutes, which is 3 1/2 hours).

Okay, if they remove the "bumpers" it might still be able to be fit on a single disc, with no extras. Who knows... but a 2 disc set seems reasonable, unless they really want to get the first two seasons out before ROTS, then release the second one later, THEN release them as a "package" after awhile ($$$).

Except that there are rumors of more being made to fit inbetween AotC and RotS
Here are the official facts:

Five episodes, 12 min each. Coming in late March. Things from the ROTS opening scroll will be shown here.

And I believe the disk for season 1 &2 will come either shortly before or shortly after. Which is bloody stupid, if you ask me. I mean, why not wait until you have a two hour animated movie? :P

Because the more you can sell, the more money Lucasfilm makes. 8)

We have an update on the situation. From Toon Zone:

The disc is available for pre-order through the Official Star Wars Store for $19.98.
