Favorite Imperial trooper type?

Post by Sea Skimmer »

So what is your favorite trooper type? Not necessarily which you think is best in combat, but just which you like the most. For me, it's the Rad Trooper followed by the phase III Dark Trooper and Spacetrooper.

Those which could not make the pole are Airtrooper, Magma Trooper, Minetrooper, Seatrooper

I like the Sand troopers' shoulderpads and the look of their heavier field gear. The survival gear makes 'em seem more realistic.

Dark Troopers. Missile-launching, flying, black droids with massive blaster rifles will always be cooler than normal troops.

The Stormtrooper. It's the classic feared soldier. You can't go wrong with the stormtrooper.

I have always like the scout trooper. I dig the threads. :D
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

P.S. original in that they were my first experience with the animal. Not to slight AOTC.

Stormtrooper. The uniform is cool. Can't wait to build one too.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

These two sites have pictures of pretty much every trooper type for which pictures exist.

Be careful about the former though some of their ISD II HTL Info is whacked up. The second one is grea though.

Other then the fact that GEDB uses WEG stats rather then the constantly changing visual weapons counts for the ISD's, there's nothing to object to on that site. There is zero speculation and one of the most complete compilations of Information on the Empire on the web. That place has pictures of things I'd never even heard of before I found them there.

It's easily in the top five sites for Star Wars information.

Damn. I didn't know they still used assault rifles and grenade launchers. When did they start hiring the U.S. military?

My favourite helmets are those of the Rad-Troopers, but there's something strangely compelling about the Snowtroopers... they look somewhat less robot-like than the other troop types, but still eerily anonymous with the KKK-esque masks....

I also like the general appearance of the Swamp-troopers, because they actually have camouflage!!

However, are there nightfighting imperial troops??? If so, I'd really like to see a picture of an Imperial nighttrooper in full armour!!
