And the pussification of Obi Wan continues!Laird wrote:Linky(spoilers.)
Pussification? Judging from the overall story he´ll be going up against two dark side warriors and win (OK, he´ll get his ass kicked by Dooku at the beginning, but that will leave the rest of the film with him getting stronger and correcting his mistakes )Crown wrote:And the pussification of Obi Wan continues!
That is if this 40 point overview is correct.
It depends how he defeats the Dark Jedi and It Grievous not Dooku who wouned Kenobi.VT-16 wrote:Pussification? I don't know maybe it's both Obi-wan wouned by the droid and Grievous and then Dooku tries finnish him of only get Anakin to attack him (and we do know how that duel ends)VT-16 wrote:Hmm, ya don´t say... I´m a little bit confused about the duels at the beginning, either Obi-Wan goes up against Grievous and his droids and gets knocked out, or he´s hurt by Dooku. I´m not sure which it is, but I remember seeing Dooku chocking/lifting him up and him fighting three "greensuited" stuntmen with staffs.
He gets injured by Grevious, he then gets his ass handed to him by Grevious and wins by pulling out the blasters of all things (if the point by point summary is correct).VT-16 wrote:That´s possible, and in the middle of it all, the ship is badly damaged from cannonfire and Grievous bails outta there. I´d say Obi-Wan only gets tougher, in AOTC he had problems against a bounty hunter, now he has to fight martial arts droids, a cyborg Jedi-Hunter and two Sith Lords in the course of one movie. I don´t call that pussification.
That part I am in agreement...since they said his win to Grievous sounds like he pulls from his ass.Crown wrote:He gets injured by Grevious, he then gets his ass handed to him by Grevious and wins by pulling out the blasters of all things (if the point by point summary is correct).VT-16 wrote:That´s possible, and in the middle of it all, the ship is badly damaged from cannonfire and Grievous bails outta there. This is not the way I invisioned the noble Jedi Master in ANH.
To be fair, he goes up against a guy that uses up to four lightsabres at a time + blasters, and I believe they say they go hand-to-hand at one point (note: this would mean Obi-Wan´s getting a metal fist in his face, chest, [insert sensitive bodypart here], in addition to enduring multiple lightsabre-attacks from a guy who´s already killed dozens of Jedi for fun).He gets injured by Grevious, he then gets his ass handed to him by Grevious and wins by pulling out the blasters of all things (if the point by point summary is correct).

Anakin is said to be more powerful, while Obi-Wan is more seasoned and professional. This will probably lead to reckless behaviour during the duel and give Obi-Wan a slight edge.Hopefully his win against Anakin will actually prove the statement that he was the Master.
Sith-knee to the groin?Praying towards Mecca?
Stop trying to use this 'logic' and 'facts' buisness to counter act my emotional arguement!!!VT-16 wrote:To be fair, he goes up against a guy that uses up to four lightsabres at a time + blasters, and I believe they say they go hand-to-hand at one point (note: this would mean Obi-Wan´s getting a metal fist in his face, chest, [insert sensitive bodypart here], in addition to enduring multiple lightsabre-attacks from a guy who´s already killed dozens of Jedi for fun).He gets injured by Grevious, he then gets his ass handed to him by Grevious and wins by pulling out the blasters of all things (if the point by point summary is correct).

I think after all that, he simply decides to end things early and puts one of his blasters to good use.
And then he eventually faces Anakin/Vader, so he´s got plenty of fun to look forward to.
Think of it this way...logic and facts could tell you The Phantom Menace is a good movie. My emotions and tastes on the other hand views it as a complete crafest for multiple reasons...namely Annie Skywalker.Crown wrote:Stop trying to use this 'logic' and 'facts' buisness to counter act my emotional arguement!!!VT-16 wrote:To be fair, he goes up against a guy that uses up to four lightsabres at a time + blasters, and I believe they say they go hand-to-hand at one point (note: this would mean Obi-Wan´s getting a metal fist in his face, chest, [insert sensitive bodypart here], in addition to enduring multiple lightsabre-attacks from a guy who´s already killed dozens of Jedi for fun).He gets injured by Grevious, he then gets his ass handed to him by Grevious and wins by pulling out the blasters of all things (if the point by point summary is correct).

I'm on record as saying; 'Aye'men to that brother' many times, and I don't change my stance on this issue at this point.Praxis wrote:If Obi-wan beats Anakin in a lucky strike, I'll be depressed. I want to see him give Ani a whoopin...
Yeah I know what you mean, I don't mind costume spoilers, or even general plot spoilers, but finding out how one character ends up on top of another, well that's kinda dissapointing even if I knew already which character was going to win.Stofsk wrote:I regret clicking on the link because of the few things I did see, seemed like genuine spoilers. (Yeah, as opposed to the not-so-genuine spoilers... ugh, nevermind)
If some of the things they show actually happen... DAMN.
Ehm, no, logic and facts should have made you worried. A kid actor and a CG "comic-relief" at the centre of the movie. I think you had plenty of info before-hand to be concerned about it. Not so with this one.Ghost Rider wrote:Think of it this way...logic and facts could tell you The Phantom Menace is a good movie.
