This always pissed me off when I played Rebellion (or Supremacy for you Poms heheh)

If you don't know what it's a rip off from ... ROBOCOP.

Your attempting to direct link to a geocities site why?

Having now copied the link, and realized that I was the one to direct you to that site in the first place.. The resemblance in the chest, shoulders and pistol muzzle is there, and while I believe it likely was inspired by Robocop, it's not much of a rip-off.

The legs, helmet and forearms look very different.

They should of looked a litle bit more like AT-ST Drivers, though that may be a ripoff too.

ROTJ predates Robocop

It's an exact ripoff from a Robocop promotion picture/ movie cover etc. Look at the gun. They didn't even bother to do their own work, they just copied a Robocop picture and chaned it a bit. Bodgy.

Btw, Return of the Jedi has nothing to do with Rebellion .. der :)

If I recall correctly, the commandos were first seen aboard the first Death Star. If there is a deliberate ripoff, it's the other way around.

Ah come on. They grabbed Robocop 3; messed with a bit, shoved what's supposed to be a rifle in the other hand of the "imperial commando" even though the hand is in the exact same position as on the Robocop3 cover...

Bodgy.

Yes I have. I'm not talking about the guys in the beetle helmets, I'm talking about the two commandos.

Weren't those the Gunners in AHN & ROTJ? Or the Naval Troopers? Which are you speaking of?
