What is a Juggernaut or as it will be called in Episode III "Turbo Tank" comparable to in modern warfare?

Do you have a link to a pic or description?

There really is no direct comparison to modern military vehicles. The best that I can come up with is that it combines a Main Battle Tank, Infantry Fighting Vehicle and Self-Porpelled Gun into one vehicle. We haven't seen it in action yet, but if it is comparable to the AT-AT, and AT-TE than I think my assessment should be pretty close, as the other two vehicles fill similar roles.

Edited the title since there are people who don't even want to know that the Juggernaut (or previous variant of the version in use by the Imperials in the EU) is in ROTS. Yes, they're that anal.

Anyway, the Juggernaut seems to me, from all evidence, to be an Infantry Fighting Vehicle. With 10 massive wheels.

You know guys (generally to all who are asking Ep III questions), two very sage mods (one of which just posted in this thread) started an 'official spoiler thread' at the top of this very forum. You don't have to read it, but if you have questions on Ep III which lead to spoiler territory why don't you post it there, and just read the replies to your post, hmm :?:

Is there a website where I can find out what all the military vehicle acronyms mean? :P

Am I the only one who thinks the design looks like crap? I mean, did they put a 5 year old to do the job? (now i know who came up with "turbo tank" anyway). It pales compared to the beautiful AT-TE

The Juggernaut is in SW terms considered a HAV, Heavy Assault Vehicle. Compare this with the Century CAV, Compact Assault Vehicle.

Are you referring to the EU sketch, or the actual Episode III design. I like the Episode III design. The EU sketch, and by extension the ROTS variant, both come from unused concept art from previous films anyway.

It's in the teaser trailer, in the background behind the Wookies.

Excuse me but I am wondering where you have seen the name "turbo tank" for the Juggernaut. Is it from ILM sketches, Starwars.com , or some other official material? The name sounds silly :(

Thanks

I´ll post a clear pic when I get home.

And it was originally supposed to be in ESB, but it didn´t make it and was adopted by the EU.

The name comes from official sources (Hyperspace) and insiders.
