a Clone wars question

This talk about the PT being inconsistent with the EU made me think this. So pre-PT information about the Clone wars consistent with itself, is what you should expect after one(or two) civilwars (e.g. full of half truths and misinformation).

Um. Exactly what was your question?

Is the pre-PT Information consistent and GL just ignored it or is inconsistent and there's no to depict the CW with out being inconsistent with least some information told about it?

If OT EU is inconsistant with the PT movies, and cannot be rationalized, I'm pretty sure it gets thrown out.
I'm not sure what happens when PT and OT EU contradict one another.

so that not, the point. The point is did GL piss on pre-PT EU about the CW when he the PT or is pre-PT EU in itself inconsistent enough to rationalize the PT.

What he's asking is about the consistency of PT-era EU. If I might rephrase his question, is the PT-EU consistent? If it is impossible to form a consistent idea of the PT era from EU sources, could this not be explained by the massive galactic upheavals that took place during this period? In this case, discarding PT-EU is desirable, since it represents a distorted, edited or propagandised representation of this period.

The PT aren't all that consistent with the OT either.

Well, as long as you stay out of the discussion, they should be fine.

the only thing I ever spotted was that the clone wars took place a lot more recent then the zahn novels (and other older sources) said, but them and I can live with that one, since all the more recent sources get the timing right and zahn even wrote a short story series why the thrawn era clones are different then the clone war ones.
