Anikins relationship with Palpatine

New to the forum old to the Star Wars galaxie. Last night i heard an interesting coment; Could Palpatine have gone and impregnated Anikins mother and then erased her memory with the dark side, so that she would not know about him.

There's been speculation about that ever since TPM. I'm guessing that Lucas will just leave it a mystery though.

Still, it would seem a little odd for a Senator from Naboo to be wandering around having sex with slave women on Tatooine. But he's a crazy Sith Lord who claims to be able to see the future (the discovery of Anakin was basically an accident), so who knows...

Yes, i thought the same thing for a bit, but then thought that it would be a good idea to have him with a slave woman than with someone in a better position in life. I think this because, if anikin would have been born anywhere else he might have been noticed by the Jedi Council much sooner and brought him to the temple. But having him beign born far away where he could not be noticed until Palpatine felt it was time to get him and begin the training, would have served his purposes.

Another reason for having him come as a slave, is that having had such a hard life as a slave Anikin comes with many issues; ie. self esteem problems, feeling inferior, anger towards other species, prejudism, ect.

We also know that he and his mother where sold to Gardula the Hutt, but it is unclear where they both came from originaly. Perhaps Palpatine sold her to the Hutts after having his way with her. Maybe he found the mother in a different planet all together; destroyed her people and sold her. Planing on coming back for the kid at a later date.

And up next
"Yoda= master playboy!"

You know. These kind of speculation about the sexual relations of SW characters, the Obiwan Padme Anakin love triangle etc etc etc kinda gets old pretty fast.

Let me see, so far, we have the
'Did leia go all the way with Luke"
"Obiwan-Padme-Anakin"
"Yoda the master playboy"
"unrequited love of Chewie on Han"
What next?

I am not talking about the relationships of other characters. I can care less if the hole Jedi temple is one big Shag headquaters.

What i mean is that Anikin with his amazing midi-cholrian count may not be just a thing of chance. maybe palpatine had things planed out for many years.

my personal belief is a babylon 5 pscicop style.

need money? drug your slave, and let the alien of the week (tm) use the body for an hour or two.

she doesnt need to remember a thing.

What!?!

Shmi/Palpatine

Even if Shmi was mind-gamed into being Palpatine's love slave, the theory neglects the possibility of Anakin sensing his parentage through the Force.

Now, you could argue that Palpatine is somehow blocking that aspect of Anakin's power, but does it make sense?

The Dark Side is difficult to detect - possibly a question of background noise. That is, given the normal passions of the average population, would you really notice any particular expression of greed or avarice or hatred?

Good point, but it makes me think that if Palpatine is so strong with the dark side, as to be able to hide himself as dark lord of the sith even infront of the jedi counsil. Then maybe he can keep Anikin from sensing this.

It is not necessary, if Palpatine impregnated Shmi in the "classical" sense -

SPOILERWarning:

there is a certain Sith-technique mentioned in ROTS, that the Sith can create life out of nothing or something like that.

Two different concepts - a general masking against a group vs. the suppression of a specific power within a specific individual.

We'll know more about the 'how' Palpatine cloaked himself when Ep. 3 comes out, but it's been established that Palpatine is good at taking advantage of seemingly unrelated issues. Kenobi only recognizes this as the Chancellor being 'very good at saying what people want to hear'.

But really even so, how small do people think the galaxy is. The coincidences already rival them all living in a small town.

This stupid and tired "theory" is not only retarded and representative of lazy thinking, it completely ignores and contradicts the established mythological intentions behind Anakin being conceived by the Force as the Chosen One: he is essentially a Christ figure.

This crap is just pure bullshit.

Please do not let the cheetos get caught in your windpipe over this. Sorry you did not think of it first. But Anikin, to me, was not the chosen one, but whithin him he had the seeds to whom would be the the unifying point of the force, "Luke".

The problem, though, is that Anakin does bring balance to the force; he reverts to the Light Side and kills Palpatine. He just doesn't do it without going through a lot of trouble first.

Damn good point! Such a shame that it took nearly the destruction of the galaxy and almost the death of his son.

Not if you are a precognitive Super-Sith.

And concerning Anakins status as "ChosenOne", that is mysticism. It can be true, doesn't have to be true, it is open to interpretation in every possible way.

DARTH SIDIOUS: Ahhh, but you know its true. When you clear your mind, you will sense the truth. You could almost think of me as your father.

ANAKIN: That's impossible! Quote)

It's in the Star Wars Making of RotS book that just came out. There are tons of exerpts from the script, but it says a lot of it might not be in the movie as well. They're talking about it in one of the other threads.
