Which EU ship is most unappreciated?

Ok, so here’s the thing, now, my dirty secret here is I never got around to reading any of the EU books, but that, by no way means I am not familiar with the vast amount of starships in the EU. Now, love it or hate it, the EU has created a vast array of starships, some more memorable then others.
The purpose of this thread is to look over the long list of less appreciated EU ships; I’ll admit, there were a couple of Real Stinkers in the EU in terms of starships, but there were some real nice ones, a few that I even had wished and hoped to see in Ep-III. ((Victory SD or Dreadnaught anyone?)) Unfortunately by now, Lucus has made it quite clear he considers much of the EU rubbish, and the vision of majestic Old Dreadnaughts or ‘new’ and deadly Victory-SD seems to be left by the wayside.
As such, which of the following EU ships do you think are most unfairly left behind? Which was a gem tossed aside, or perhaps a blunder best forgot? I know this poll can really go both ways, so I ask posters to explain their vote; did you go for something you wish we had seen more of? Or perhaps something we never wished to see again.
Oh yes, as an Addendum, I am sure you have noticed that on the list I have put NO Vong ships what so ever… I think I would be able to leave those off as I am sure we can all universally agree on them being the worst thing hacked up by ship designers in all of the EU, period…

You forgotten the immobiliser und strike cruiser
and my long time favourite guardian class customs vessel, not even to mention imperial patrol cruisers and that’s just imperial era ships I can pick of my head, not to mention any past endor classes. ^^ And actually all the once you listed are pretty well covered in the eu itself and don’t need any further backing in movies. The hapan battle dragon all to much in fact, I hate them. I would have voted for the guardian if you had listed it, no vote for now from me.

Well, unfortunately it seems the amount of options in the Poll are limited ((Unless I did something wrong))
I do agree with you, there are countless other EU ships that most people over look or ignore. On the Hapan Battle Dragons, I added that purely because it IS such an odd ship. In space, all too often people forget you can really be creative with how you make your starships, ((Ugly Bioships not counting)) and the Dragons are so odd, so funk, they deserve a warm place in my heart just for being so unique. Besides, it’s also a pure form/function design. Given that they have to rotate their TL to let them recharge, it’s an actually elegant solutions.

It looks to much like two flying dishes stuck together for me. @ hapan

Oh, don’t be so hard on the Hapans, they really are nice ships, and you can’t blame them for not having ‘modern’ TL tech. In any case I really think the Victory has been the most ship skunked. By all rights, SPOILER AHEAD!!! at the End of RotS, we should see Vader sitting on the bridge of a brand new Victory… Instead, were going to get him on the bridge of an ISD, how does that work?

Personally, I've always loved the old Dreadnaughts. Ever since they were described in Zahn's first trilogy, I've wanted to see them in the movies. Too bad that's not going to happen, apparently. Ah well, guess I'll just have to pick up Zahn's other books and read about them some more!

Voted Carrack Cruiser. Just love the specs. As fast as a X-Wing and lots of ion cannons enables it to take on and disable much larger vessels.
Trade off is no fighters and weak defenses.

Next to the Victories, I've always loved the Dreadnaughts as well. They have a certain nice look to them, and you can easily imagine that, in thier day, they were a ship to be feared.
Hounestly, if the Old Republic was using every ship it had to defend Courscont. thier should have been a lot of those old ships thier.

It's got to be the Victory. I've always thought they were a good design

I like Carracks, because they're a light, fast ship, and as a plus they don't double as carriers like many of the other ships we see.
I have to say that I don't really like the Victories... I think they're a neat idea in concept, but their design, an ISD shrunk down (though still retaining the exact shape) with some extra add-ons glued on the surface, really strikes me as both lazy and aesthetically unpleasing.

You know which ship I really hate? Strike cruisers. They are so ugly. They look like some kind of futuristic dildo.

The maurader I always felt was a cool ship design. And with all the weapons in the forward arc, a group of them could be MEAN. 8 turbolasers per ship, focused on one enemy at once, ouch.

Assault Frigate. They never seem to get any credit, and they seemed like a pretty good refit of the ancient dreadnought design.

I voted dreadnaught because we need them in the PT. Mauraders are probably my favorite though. It was a hard descision though because I like all of them except for the Lancer which was crap. Anything in the OT and Post-OT are cool with a few exeptions, but everything in the PT is overpowered in my opinion.

and just simply really ugly ^^ Starting with the super donuts of doom, and ending with the flying hangar deck in star destroyer shape.

Victory Star Destroyers have just been plain ignored and passed over by the prequal movie and the EU of the time. Atleast the Dreadnaught Class gets a mention in some of the books the Vic gets feck all.

Eh.. Sorry, deepest apoligies , I sort of assumed by now most knew about that...
As far as Vic-SD go... With the new starships, theres just no longer a place for them.. In all hounesty, considering when Vics were supposed to be used.. The new Proto-StarDestroyers used in Ep-II SHOULD BE Victory Star-Destoryers... But oh well, at least the Dreadnaughts get a few nods, they have a really nice design for an old ship.

The ship I really think has gotten the shaft is the Republic-class SD. Half the price and half the crew of an ISD, with firepower between an ISD-I and ISD-II. With the only drawbacks being 3200 instead of 9700 troops and 2 years instead of 6 years endurance. Which when you look at the differences between the NR and the Empire, and their military needs, it seems like the trade offs are worth the advantages for the NR. It just seemed like the perfect SD for the NR that they could just pump out to replace all the destroyed or uncaptured ISDs, I mean the NJO was just aching for a mass-produced SD. I know the pic in the CTD sucked ass but all the CTD pics sucked. Plus, if the Defender SD can get a new better pic why not the RSD?

I voted for Victory Star Destroyer although I am torn between it and the Hapan Battle Dragon.
The Victory Star Destroyer is an awesome ship that gets too little attention. It can operate in an atmosphere, it can hold its own against modern combatants and I simply love its look. It is a damn shame we will not see them in Episode III.
Hapan Battle Dragon I like because it is unique. I love the way its weapons rotate when recharging and it is unlike anything I have seen before in sci-fi. With modern turbolasers it would be a quite a killer.
