1) Burtt (I think) had the same concern I did as to how Obi-Wan was going to take Jango back. :D
"Strap him to the hood"
2) Obi-Wan did say "Old folk's home" :wtf:
3) In the gunship, the pilot says they're out of rockets. Yet we can CLEARLY see rockets under the wing.

Joking aside, It's the Geonosians who were contracted to build the DS, not the Empire proper.

A single planet built the thing

No, the Geonosians planned to build it, that doesn't mean they actually did :)

As to the out of rockets- I also noticed the air to air rockets under the wing!

To paraphrase Lucas:

"The Geonosians are the builders race. They're the subcontractors Jay and Silent Bob were worried about. But really, they're just overgrown termites, so who cares"

LOL :D

We don't know who constructed the DS, but it would be illogical to believe that they created the DS yet had no members on its senior staff. I find it unreasonable to believe that the Geonosians constructed the DS, though they may easily have designed the basic plans for the structure. Further, without a planet (really), it is highly unlikely that they would have the industrial capacity to construct such a battle station. I find more traditional interpretations of the matter of construction of the DS to be more likely.

As for Obi-Wan, "Old folk's home" is a code in the Jedi Order, meaning that he wants to have his message sent directly to the Senior Jedi, which it was (it went straight to Yoda and Mace), though I kind of agree that as a colloquialism it's kind of out of place.

The worst example of something that they did wrong, IMO, was losing Obi-Wan during the shots of Anakin fighting Dooku. One shot, Anakin jumps forward to save Obi-Wan (ironic, given his similar save of the Emperor from Luke in RotJ), but in the next shot Obi-Wan is nowhere to be seen.

[1] Borrow as ship from the goverment, leave the fighter behind
[3] Could have been damaged in action. It's been known for weapons to be damaged by SAM blasts or fragments on modern aircraft.

The Geonosians were planning to design and build it for the sepratists, they'd have the support of tens if not hundreds of thousands of systems.

Nope, the pilot says "We're out of rockets", not "We can't fire any rockets"
Also, listen to commentary. The effects team had no ide ahow Obi was gonna take Jango back :P

I like the idea that Obi Wan would just shove him into the spare parts container. :D

If they don't work then it’s the same as not having any. In combat you try to get the point across in as few words as possible. I'm quite aware of the dialog.

Should be a fun ride, especially since no air vented when he jettisoned the contents later...

"We're out of rockets"
"Rockets are Offline"

I think he meant what he said. Just a small editing msitake, no biggie.

Rockets are offline would suggest a fire control problem to me, perhapes somthing is reseting after the last jolt. But yes it is just editing really.

They forgot, I guess. Not much of an ending in Dooku gets shot down :)

Is the dual lightsaber scene in the DVD?

Nope, don't think so. Not in deleted scenes anyway. All the deleted scenes suck ass from an action standpoint, though I think they should have cut that wanky meadow scene and replaced it with the scene at Padme's family's house.

What happened at the family house? Death? pain? Suffering?

Or this... http://www.soulofthejedi.net/cgi-bin/st ... r=25&cat=9

Nothing of that nature- I just thought it was a much better scene than the waste of time and embarassment of that stupid meadow scene ... basically Padme brings Anakin to her home and its made obvious that she hasn't been in many relationships and is in denial about her feelings for him- when her family members point out how obvious it is and embarass her to boot.

That is one funny link.

"No evil laughing either, Anakin! I mean it! If you feel like laughing, just do the regular hahahahahaha instead of the evil mwahahahahaha. "

If you mean Dooku using two lightsabres, not really. In one of the documentaries you can see them filming a scene where Dooku briefly has two sabres but I've never seen a finished version of that shot.

One thing that is curious is the Acclamator's primary weapons. They are not visible on either the vessels that landed at Geneosis or the vessels taking off from Corouscant (there is some external structure apparent but it does not appear to be a set of turrets).

We know they exist from ICS (and presumably from scenes removed from the final cut), perhaps they are retractable? or perhaps they are smaller than indicated by ICS?. Another possibility is that the Acclamator's taking off from Coruscant were not fully outfitted, however this would seem unlikey as they had their full compliments of troops and AT-TE's ready.

Any thoughts?
