Clearly. I'm not really sure what to do about this particular case. I have no experience with anything remotely resembling this, so I've gone to ask the other mods for help and suggestions.

I rather like this argument from E1701:
Misty;
1) I'm sorry, but if your arguments hinge on things in comic books (at least lets be honest about what you're talking about here), which were never seen in action, even in a situation where it would have been vital, necessary, and saved most of the Jedi order, it wasn't done. If it can be done at all, it must be restricted to really high-level Jedi like Windu, the Skywalkers, and Obi-Wan. Because obviously those bog-standard Jedi in the arena weren't capable of it. In other words, not something O'Neill's gonna have to worry about.
2) I'm not basing anything on Kon_el's commentary. The facts are there, in full color digitized video. The Tuskans use guns - every gun we've seen on them has been characteristically long barreled, clumsily fired, inaccurate, slow loading, and lacking even the fundamental components that can be found on virtually all firearms manufactured after 1875.
The conclusion is eye-bleedingly obvious that their firearm technology is woefully primitive - as befits a group of nomads who make modern caravaneers look like crack military units in comparison.
Hence, if they possessed any automatic weapons at all, and we allow such warping of common sense, very clear, they are going to be closer to automatic weapons circa 1905, than automatic weapons circa 2002. So if they did have such things, they'd probably be little more advanced than a Sharp's carbine, or at most, a Luger.
3) I'm not assuming anything about the Jedi beyond an assumption that he's not in a pre-arranged ambush location. In an even fight though, both in the open, there's little contest. O'Neill is a trained soldier, always has his gun at the hip position, and has a very itchy trigger finger. Unless they start six feet apart, O'Neill will put 49 bullets through the Jedi's face even as the lightsaber is igniting, and certainly long before he has a chance to make an attack.
I have never seen such a blatantly pathetic attempt to ignore/restrict evidence or details in my life.

Also point out the idiot statments
Ever see anyone get shot IRL??? A bullet can throw someone back or put them airborn depending on the angle they are shot from.
Drag up the Barret .50Cal Sniper Rifle Demostration, That thing punches through Man-hole covers but a 100 Pound Box moves all of three inchs when shot six times....
