Ok, so... Anyone know why LEGO is calling the JUggernaught a TURBO TANK and not, you know, a JUggernaught ?

EDITED: sorry sorry sorry

It's JUGGERNAUGHT, you dumbass. :P

And they call it a Turbo Tank because that's what Lucasfilm is calling it for RotS.

you know why theyre calling it a Turbo Tank rather than a juggernaught right? juggernaught is already trademarked by marvel comics. hes a X-men villan. IIRC

That really shouldn't be a problem considering Juggernaught is a mystically enhanced mountain of muscle of a man with fratricidal tendencies while the Juggernaught is a large wheeled combat vehicle piloted by clones and used to make vast numbers of robots explode.

I think its just a way for Lucas to thumb his nose at the EU and it does go with the trend of calling things by their description rather than their class or model name, i.e. Venator is also referred to as a Jedi Cruiser, Imperators are Star Destroyers ect.

I just got the latest SW laced Lego catalog a few days ago and I didn't lose my erection til earlier today when I checked them out at Walmart, pressed down on Windus little head and saw his purple lightsabe light up blue, BLUE. I was pondering on the Juggernaut til then, I'd rather drop my money on the AT-AT now. Ofcourse seeing the Darth Vader minifig light up got it right up again, I AM going to have that one.

Yea, I kinda figured it was something like that, stupid Lucas, being all pissy about the EU, DAMNIT! I wanted my Victory-SD!

I had been telling everyone until I saw the Episode III Vernator that "this is the one we'll see the Victory-class Star Destroyer in action". But, Lucas couldn't have a friggin' EU design.
Would it have killed him to have Victories instead of pulling a new, weaker design out his ass?

I don't have a problem with the new Venator class. I'm satisfied with the VicStars mentioned in the official literature (including the RotS ICS), and it doesn't look too bad.

Juggernaut!

Venator > Victory. Looks much better.

True. But like you, or someone here complained, the Republic only has one ship class, while the separatists have what, 3? 4?

Showing a Victory wouldn't be unwelcome, even if it were just a glimpse. Also, showing a glimpse of a Z-95 again, wouldn't be unwelcome. Though on THAT regard, I'm more than happy with the ARC, the V-wing, and the Jedi interceptor.

Sigh, why did he allow EU-designs and names to enter the movies, then? (Action VI, YT-2400 freighters, swoop bikes, Aayla, Vos, 'Coruscant', and yes, the Juggernaught)

And according to the ROTS:ICS the vehicle is an HAVw A6 Juggernaut.

A5 Juggernaut-nick: "Rolling Slabs"
A6 Juggernaut-nick: "Turbo Tank"

See, just nicknames.

Not with that double bridge it doesn't. :P

Its okay looking, but I don't think its any better than the Victory-class either.

Venator is equally powerful as a fighting-ship, but has a lot more fighters. However the durability and endurance/time in the field is a lot lower.

Have we ever discussed why ships able to cross an entire galaxy within days need consumables for six years?

Overall operation and convenience. It's a waste to need to stop in port every couple of months or so, especially if a ship in involved in a particularly long campaign or exploratory mission, or God forbid, stranded.

True, but one would think, that the GE would have developed the art of lightning-war to perfection (especially given the numerical advantage they're supposed to have). Sacrificing a year-load of consumables for a better performance of their ships (more troops, more fighters, more powerplants) sounds like a good deal in this case.

Of course it could also be, that the GE isn't that kind of Juggernaught it is supposed to be according to the RA.
