Super Battle Droids: Superior Armor
I just thought I'd post this screenshot sequence for some canon evidence for what most of us know to be common sense- it's little details like this that really make the "realism" of a Star Wars movie. Keep your eye on the SBD to the right hand side in the background.
This is just a result of using the pause button, I'd do frame by frame if I knew what the hell I was doing, which I don't (does PowerDVD even have such a feature?)
I'm in pristine condition
Ack! Mother-fucker!
Haha! It'll take more than that!

Looks like a glancing blow, though it would make sense that the SBD would be armored against such hits for survivability.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong
But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

It's not a glancing blow, the shot comes in quite directly.

If you mean automatically grab every frame for a selected period, no idea (don't think so). But if you click the "Step forward" button, which is to the left of the "Play" button with the default skin (or just tap "T" on your keyboard), it should move forward a frame at a time.Vympel wrote:This is just a result of using the pause button, I'd do frame by frame if I knew what the hell I was doing, which I don't (does PowerDVD even have such a feature?)

That's what that nicely round red circle on the SBD's torso in the third pictures looks like to me, though that other SBD firing in the second picture makes it hard to judge just WTF is going on.Vympel wrote:It's not a glancing blow, the shot comes in quite directly.

Perhaps it is glare, but the third pic seems to have the hit, then above a red area much like the hit.Vympel wrote:It's not a glancing blow, the shot comes in quite directly.

I don't suppose someone has a reason why the SB's hands are so, well, Gimpy? I mean all the rest of it's body is big, bulky and heavily armoured. I mean, there not even hands, just kind flatend claw things.
Praying is another way of doing nothing helpful

SBDs dont need intricate hands, you dont see them being assigned to any positions where they would need the dexterity do you? plus they have arm/wrist mounted weapons already so they dont need to handle the same variety of weapons a b-1 doesCrossroads Inc. wrote:I don't suppose someone has a reason why the SB's hands are so, well, Gimpy?
