Yes, Basic idea is grap Lightsaber shoot near defensless JediOne wonders what Jango was intending to do with Windu's lightsaber when he dived for it in AOTC.
Deny him his weapon. You have a much better chance against Jedi if you have a blaster and there unarmed. There is no precident for such an action, so it would seem forced and out of place. I don't think it would add much to the film.
