Just figured I'd give everyone who's going to Indianapolis next week a final chance to let everyone know.
Mabye we can plan some sort of meet-up for all the SD.netters that are going?

I'm going to try to go on Friday or Saturday. Depends on transportation, since my car may not be available then.

I'm really hoping to go, but I don't know if I'll have enough money. *grumbles*

I revive this thread to deliver a warning:
This convention appears to be oversold.
There's a line that stretches around the convention center, and the adjacent RCA dome.
They appear to be letting in only twenty to thirty people at a time. There are several thousand people in line.
If you show up, and buy a pass, you may still not get in.
I will update this thread at four o'clock central time, with an update on the line's movement.

I hereby retract my warning.
At about 2:30 CST, the line started moving pretty quickly.
I just came back from the convention center, and it's not too crowded to breathe.
If you want to go, go ahead.
If you haven't orderd a pass online, I'm not sure that there are many left though.

Yup, I'll be going, but I haven't preordered a badge, so no idea if I'll get in.

You didn't stand in line to buy tickets for Gen Con did you? That was about a two, maybe three, hour wait.
Anyway, I'm planning on going Saturday. I'll get up around 7, pick up my friends who are going, then drive to Indy and get in line.

I'm leaving tommorow at 11 am (have to wait for the babysitter, she has some stuff to do that morning) It's about a 5 hour drive, so probably Friday afternoon and saturday. Sunday is still a tossup.

If you guys do come down, I recommend eating at the Ram brewery.
The 501st has taken the place over at their "official outpost"
The whole resteraunt is covered in yellow tape that says "Imperial Occupied Zone" in english and Aurebresh.
They have a special SW themed menu for the convention days.
I recommend the bounty hunter burger.

Well, didn't get in. I got at the center around 7am saturday, and already there were huge, multiple lines. Not to mention they ran out of badges, and the insanely cold weather. Stand in line for 5 hours freezing to death? Nuh uh. Oh well, worth a try.

You gave up? My friends and I got there at 11, got in line anyway to buy tickets for Sunday. It was pretty cool, but probably not something I'm going to do again. Got some kickass pictures of a four foot long Lego Venator though.
