Wasn't Anakin Skywalker's midiclorian count >10 000 with more specific number being impossible as chart/scale ended at 10 000 (and that other jedi(including Yoda) have midiclorain counts of <10 000).

Well, since I have specifically avoided TPM for some time, I don't fully remember the quote anymore, but I recall Obi-Wan saying it was off the chart, over 10 000, and that not even Yoda had a count that high. There was no mention about where the chart ends, but 10 000 is a very likely number. Also, I recall he said "... over 10 000. Not even Yoda has a count this high..." which implies that Yoda's count is 10 000 or less.

So just use 10 000 for whatever you are going to use it for. *goes cross-eyed*

Well it just comforming what thinked was already true (that Midiclorian counts in Supershadow site are total BS)

and IIRC the line was "The reading is of the chart, over 10 000, not even Master Yoda has a Midiclorian count that high"

Quite possibly.

I truely hate the Midiclorian, It has offically made the Force suck. I have tried very hard to block this whole thing as well as much of TPM from my memory

It's quite a stupid concept.

Oh you're just mad because I have a higher midichlorian count than you do. :D Or was that sperm count.......

Well I find it rather nice in fact, finally the force isn’t just magic anymore, but in fact the ability to use the force makes you a mutant, because you have different blood/genes from other people, that attract midichlorians.

So Jedi are plasma club wielding mutants.

It really isn't that bad. There's no reason to assume midiclorians cause the Force, or Force ability: simply that they coexist in the same individuals. I wouldn't be surprised if these counts changed over time. So, it's hardly 'demystifying' it - not that a repeatable, measurable thing like the Force was mystical anyway.

I think that midiclorian are somemthing (Jedi) scientists discovered to connected to Force awareness, but why and how are unknow (in the ANH novelization Obi-Wan tells Luke that not even Jedi scientists could fully explain or understand the Force).

As it seems, the midichlorians are a channel to the force, not the force.

I was REALLLLLLLLLLLY hoping the Midiclorians were a side effect of force-potency and not the direct cause.

Is there spoiler evidence somewhere that this is not the case? It is something I've been going with as well...

"Over twenty thousand" is what Obi Won said.

I'm hoping the same thing.

This is in part corroborated by the fact that Anakin's high midichlorian count failed to convince many members of the Jedi council that he was exceptional.. Mace even found it necessary to test him with that screen with images hidden from Anakin).
So perhaps not only are midichlorians a side effect of Force sensitivity, but they're not even a completely reliable indicator.

Of course, the seeming lack of importance that some council members place in the midichlorian count may be attributed to their differing views of the Force, though, but I doubt this because if it was a reliable indicator, they would have no reason not to take notice of it.

Too many people misunderstand what Midichlorians actually are and what they do: they just assume Midis = Force and that's why they get pissed off.

High midicholorian counts are probably just one symptom of Force sensitivity.

Its worth noting that Palpatine eventually learned to embue non-Force sensitives with the dark side of the Force by subsuming them into his will. Desann and the Imperial Remnant figured out how to use crystals and the Valley of the Jedi to artificially imbue the Force into non-Force sensitives. And descriptions of the detection paddles in Jedi Search had included that midichlorian concentrations often (but not always) indicate Force sensitivity.

No beef, but "symptoms" makes it sounds like a disease :D

I do love Jedi Outcast dearly.. it's one of my favourite games of all time (and I've enjoyed every game with Kyle Katarn in it), but the whole bit about using Artusian crystals to channel the residual Force power from the graves on Ruusan into regular joes (or were the Reborn originally clones? ) does seem like a slightly contrived excuse to provde a steady supply of Force adepts for Kyle to fight.
I'm certainly not complaining about the abundance of duelling action, though :)

it's possible as they are imperial that served under Desan (thankfully the Reborn and disaples of Ragnos suck in battle against Jedi).

Barring the utter stupidoiy of the whole midichlorian shit, Obi-wan's line was:

"The reading is off the charts-over twenty thousand! Not even Master Yoda has a Midichlorian count that high."

20 Thousand. Not 10.

Indeed. I guess they're trying to make a point about training, discipline and skill always eventually winning out over raw Force ability and the power of the dark side.
