Does Luke ever find out about his mother?

I have a question does Luke ever find out what really happened to his mother? Does he know the details of the PT? Heck, does he even know his mother's name, or what planet she comes from. I can only recall him asking about her once in ROTJ. It seems odd to me that he's so obsessed with his father, but shows almost no interest in his mother. Or perhaps that's the mama's boy in me talking.
A little help, please?

Not in the EU (yet) he doesn't. The Black Fleet Crisis trilogy was all about him trying to find out more about his mother (obsessed really), but everything he learns turns out to be bullshit. I should point out the novels never said; this is the truth. It was left as an open question as to whether or not he learned any of the truth, until the time the PT came out, at which point we realise he was fed a fairy story.

Hasn't...and honestly I doubt he ever will, unless in a later EU yoda or Kenobi comes visit him and goes "Y'know..."
Also the way RoTS deals with it...I can see why he would easily learn about daddy, but nothing about mommy.

Kenobi left the EU in Heir to the Empire- Lucas didn't want him in the post-RotJ EU.

They give some note that Ben Skywalker can hear Kenobi in the end of the NJO.
But like I said...unless literally one of those two come back and have a long chat with Luke, he's just not going to find out
.

No But in Tatooine Ghost
Leia learns about the history of their grandmother. Guess that's close enough... right?

There's also hints that Leia figured it out by the time of
The Unifiyng Force:
"And I have the strongest feeling that my mother must have also reached this stage , with war erupting all around her, her homeworld threatened..."
Also, as of this writing, Naboo's only been mentioned a handful of times in the post-1999 OT-EU (
Survivor's Quest, Edge of Victory II: Rebirth, and I believe
Tatooine Ghost as well.)

A large part of “The Ruins of Dantooine” takes place on Naboo.
Though I really don’t recommend buying the book

It may be that the truth of what happened to his mother vanished with the Planet Alderaan. Bal Organna must have known something.

Ah, well everyone told me not to buy the book; that's why I didn't know.

Well, since Bail adopted Leia I assume he had to know, Monmotha should have known, Bel should know as well. Heck anyone in the senate at the time should have known who Padame was.

Imagine Jar-Jar coming back in the post-OT EU...
On second thought, don't.

They knew who Padme was, but only Bail knew who the mother was, none of them knew who fathered the children.

I understand why the EU couldn't deal with them, at least before ROTS.
But hell, I hope SOMEONE finaly asks R2D2 about Padme in the new post NJO novels comming out. That we find out he had a secret chip somewhere in him that had a message from her or from Obi-one or something...

New EU novel:
The Death of Binks
Suddenly, a lot more people start reading the EU.
