Invisible Hand?

Post by White Cat »

In some of the scattered tidbits I've seen about RotS (except for the trailers, I've basically avoided spoilers), I keep seeing references to a ship called Invisible Hand. I'm trying to find pictures of it, but haven't had much luck. The closest I've been able to find is a mention that it's somewhere in this shot.

If someone could point me to some pictures of this ship (prefereably a shot of it all by itself, without other ships blocking it), I'd appeciate it. Thanks in advance. (And I apologize if this should go in the Photos forum. If so, could a mod move it?)

It's fine right here.

It's the flagship of General Grievous, leader of the Separatist forces in general and at the Battle of Coruscant in particular. I'm not aware of any shots of the ship by itself, except for the one in the RotS:ICS.

It's in the trailer at several points, including the shot of the hangar bay shield generator exploding near the end.

As for where it is in the shot, it's right at the back- it's the one with the long hangar bay ringed by a blue light (the hangar bay shield)- it is the only ship of it's kind in the shot and IIRC. It has a very tall "spire" with a pod at the top.

You can see a (small) side elevation of the IH here, towards the bottom of the left-hand column.

EDIT: This is a better orthogonal view of the ship, though I caution it's a 3D model for Homeworld.

They got those names pretty wrong.

What stand out to me are the Mandator and Procurator designs, though they misspelled Munificent. What else did they screw up?

Those Procurator and Mandator designs are just fan-made, right? Though it looks like they took a couple of ships from DE and put the names on them.

I'd be willing to bet money on that, yeah. I've yet to see a source other than the Warlords site for those designs.

Speaking of which, what about the Lucrehulk battleship variant? Should it actually have a smaller diameter than the freighter/DCS version?
