WTF, SENATORS!?

Here I was hoping for some ground combat-update. Oh well, next week I guess. =/

Interesting that the Kuati Senator was part of the Delegation of 2000. I would imagine that he was recalled soon after the declaration of the Empire. Otherwise, this is a pretty weak update, with little new or interesting information.

I presume we will see some (if not all) of these in the Ep. III. But I must still find the previous update more interesting.

The good thing about this update is that we got an official picture of the new Senate Guard, with the faceplate over their helmets.

They look cooler; I didn't like their stupid crests. I don't like this "phased-out" nonsense. I would like to see in the TV shows or comics the Imperial Senate before its "indefinite recess" in ANH the new Senate Guards still at their posts, deep into the Galactic Empire. While I like tying evolution of the Republic to the Empire, I'd also like distinct parts of it to remain to the present.

I knew this would happen, but it bothers me anyway. I'd like to see how they're going to reconcile this with the obvious fact that the Senate was not only still around by the time of ANH, but also a threat to the Emperor and his loyalists.

It would seem that the "Mon Calamari was discovered by the Empire" line is gone for good now.

it doesn't wen they were phsed out, so it's possible when the senate was disbanded (officially only for time of the rebellion) so was the Guard.

I'm not talking about the guard, just the Senate.

I'm sure the Senate Guard would remain in service right up to the "last remnants of the Old Republic being swept away".

As far as they look, I think it's the open face that put me off- I didn't mind the crest so much.
