Anakin I can understand falling into that situation. But Padme? She was the driving force behind that whole relationship. You don't wear that black outfit on Naboo and not have an idea that you are seducing a young jedi.

She doesn't want to encourage his feelings; yet she dims the lights, starts a fire, lights some candles, changes into the smallest, tightest corset on the system and if you listen very closely, she's even puts the walress of love, Barry White, on the turntable. Also, let's remember that a number of years elapse between AotC and RotS. So Padmé and Anakin have been married and presumably fucking like jack-rabbits all that time. At least one of them wanted to have kids.
