George Lucas revealed that Aayla Secura will survive Episode III and won't, as originally planned, die on Felucia. Lucasfilm Ltd. also hinted that Aayla may, in turn, appear in an hour-long Star Wars Television series, in which production will begin in 2006. This television show will chronologically take place between the events of Episodes III and IV. Aayla Secura can possibly be a major player in this series, as she is one of the last remaining Jedi, apart from Yoda and Obi Wan Kenobi. Aayla will be reappearing in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

Can anyone verify this?
It looked the Clonetroopers blasted her lithe, supple body repeatedly.
EDIT:
Gah, forget that. I refreshed the Wiki seconds after making the thread, and saw this:
The theatrical release of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith however shows that Aayla Secura is shot in the back by her clone troopers, who then surround her fallen body and repeatedly shoot her body as the scene ends. As such, it is most unlikely that Aayla Secura will be seen at all in any TV series that takes place between the events of Episodes III and IV.
Still, it looks like that last paragraph is an observation from viewing the film, not unlike my own.
Any hope?

That was apparently just a lie made up by attention-whores.

I'd assume that unless I see evidence that Lucas ever said anything to that effect whatsoever. At best, it's blatant rumor-mongering. Aayla's death is one of the best ones. 2nd best next to Ki-Adi-Mundi's, I feel.

Mostly because the Clonetroopers who killed her showed gross overkill by an order of magnitude. It's sortof hard to survive having the contents of the collective magazines of the rifles of a squad of soldiers emptied into you.

Maybe they were firing repeatedly because she was rolling out of the way and jumping to her feet?
I'm swimming in the ol' river in Egypt, aren't I.

Yes, yes you are. She had already been gunned down and wasn't really moving anymore when the Clonetroopers went overkill on her.

Yes, and Greedo didn't shoot first, did he?
If Lucas wants it... it happens. Which is why if he actually said it... though if he didn't, big deal. Since there doesn't seem to be any source other than a piece of shit wiki article, then there's nothing more to really go on.

And amazingly cute as she is, she isn't coming back. Lucas knows this, the fans know this. Short of some convoluted bullshit reasoning, she is staying an ex-Jedi on that wilderness.

I don't think Twi'leks are cats. She's had one damn fine escape from death at the hands of General Grievous.

According to IMDB, the very pretty lady interpreting Aayla Secura is a producer, so she might not be interested in a career as actress (I have the live TV series in mind here).

Vympel is right, she does get one of the better deaths, I thought there would be more scenes of better known Jedi biting the big one, like the ones that survived the Arena.
I'm not sure if I was happy, or saddened not seeing Shaak-Ti die.

I wouldn't have a problem with her living...but they would have to come up with a pretty convincing explanation.

I was pissed that the graphic novel showed Quinlan buying it. I thought that he'd make the perfect post-RotS foe for Vader, a long-running cat and mouse game until Vader finally shows up and beheads him. The dialogue in an scene like that would've kicked so much ass.

In the novelization, from what I've heard, I believe she was killed during the siege on the Temple, but I could be mistaken.

Nope. You were misled.

Yep, and it's also in the script. Anakin stabs her in the back while she is meditating, I believe.

Well, in the Novel, she's in the temple when Anakin and the clones come calling, but there isn't any specific quotes saying she was killed, but it's safe to assume she was. My point is, it's a shame she wasn't featured, after she played such a big part in the last few chapters of Clone Wars.

Maybe that´s where the TV series comes into play?
I recall seeing footage of her being stabbed in the back by Grievous, then changed to Anakin, then thrown out entirely.
She was pretty awesome in CW, hope she gets a spot in one of the tv series.

Well, the Clonetroopers do backblast Aayla Secura and then pump a few dozen more rounds into her while she was on the ground in SW3, so it's pretty safe to say that she isn't coming back for the TV series. Her amazing hotness is no match with being Clonetroopered to the rear.

So... you guys are
sure she's dead, then?
Okay, okay, I get it!

Wait, wasn't one of the TV series supposed to be set during the Clone Wars? Wouldn't that offer oppourtunities for AAAAAAAAYLAAAA?

Could somebody give me a page number for 'Aayla in the temple' in the novelization? I don't remember that at all.

The rumor about Aayla being in the TV series might be true, but only because I have been led to believe that said series takes place between Episodes II and III.
