How many here weren't surprised by the illegal copies that came out just as fast as the movie first viewing was over, some usual hidden cams and not great but better quality with a timer running above which they suspect to be an inside job.

As a big release movie, it's almost a given for both leaks and bootlegs to come out so quickly.

I'm not surprised... but I don't like it.

I still remember watching the Matrix on the underground cable in Russia, 6 months before it hit theaters. It still had the time code running on the bottom,.
Have a very nice day.

I don't like it, either. I personally think it's a revolting practice.

The Beeb reported that leaked copies were out on the first day, but that they were not the full film.
Lucas should've done what he did for Episode VI.

Given the fact that in my city the movie will come only next Friday I kind of understand those seeking these illegal copies. They have run the movie only in the Capital and two other main cities .... and the rest of us will have to wait
Waaaaaaaaaagh!!!!

Well I'll be the first to admit, I do/n't have a copy of ep III, but I went to the theatre twice to see it.(Now I want to watch all 6 films in my home, all of the 5 films which I own for legit reasons.)

Anyone who watches it first on an illegal copy on a monitor needs their head seeing to. If they were real fans, they'd see it as it was meant to beand unless you're Lucas himself, your home cinema system isn't going to rival the greatness of a decent cinema or even IMAX.

Like I said, I saw it in the theatre twice. I donated my money...now I'll watch my dodgy copy till Nov when the DVD comes out.

I'd say that they need to be kicked in it.

What, you thought there weren't hidden cameras inside all those Vader/Stormtrooper/Fett helmets worn to the first showings?
All too easy...
Oh well, Lucas still makes out like a bandit as we all knew he would, despite this.

Me too. Just clutters up the P2P networks and makes it harder to find the high-quality DVD rips when they come out.
