Question about lightsabres

Post by GeneralTacticus »

(Apologies if this question has been answered before; I looked and didn't find anything.)

Is there any part of the blade that isn't 'edge' (i.e. won't cut things it touches)? I'm asking because:

a) Lightsabres are supposed to be capable of inflicting extremely thin cuts (which, IIRC, is what makes them so effective), but:

b) I can't recall seeing a lightsabre blade that looked any thinner than than the handle, which makes me wonder how they're supposed to achieve a).

Does anybody know?

"This was evil manifest."

Responding to your first question, no, AFAIK.

Second: the part of the blade doing the cutting is actually supposed to be razor thin.
