Okay Gentlemen,

You have just been "accepted" into the Empire along with all the young males of Earth (it was that or a BDZ).

Upon completion of your initial training, you have qualified as either a Tie interceptor pilot or a the controller of a heavy turbo laser battery on the executer, and the decision must be made now.

What do you choose and why?

I myself would go for the Pilot position, I like to be in control of my own destiny, but the thought of raining heavy TL's on a Mon Calamari cruiser sounds fulfilling.

well. I KNOW the executor goes down... so I suppose I would pikc the TIE intercewptor, mayvbe I will be good enough to be called Alpha 1 and get placed in a Tie Defender

Naturally we have no prescient knowledge of Executor's fate so being that I'm a coward by nature, turbolaser gunner it is.

Lets see....... several meters of durasteel and shielding with a gun capable of leveling small cities in a single blast, or a unshielded metal ball with two anti-fighter Laser cannons.

I'd pick the gunner station easily, just so I could explore every inch of that big, grand, dagger-like ship that we all know as Executor with relative safety to boot.

An Interceptor is a unshield metal ball with four anti-fighter laser cannons, In fact up to 10 guns can be argued for it.

I'd take a starfighter. Easier to jump ship and join the Alliance to Restore the Republic that way

Having lived aboard aircraft carriers for 4.5 years I'm going to be a gunner on the Executor.

It might be a big ass target but it's well protected and everything else in it's battle group is likely to be sacrificed in protecting it if need be.


I guess I've never been quite fast and accurate enough at anything that I'd feel that my odds of surviving in the Imperial Military would be greater by being a Tie pilot. I'd be one of those guys who does pretty well for awhile doing almost everything right. The almost part being the killer. I'd likely get killed by an asteroid hitting my ship or some crazy rebel ramming my Tie as he goes down in flames.

Wing tip guns, right. Forgot about that.

I guess I'm just a sucker for danger then.

I would rather enjoy taking on B-Wings and assorted rebel scum in my Tie, hell maybe I could run on Vader's wing, that would be sweet.
