Hayden Christensen's return?

Post by FaxModem1 »

If what I hear is correct, they are placing the movie 3 years after AOTC, if so, wouldn't they need to put Hayden back into the role like they do with Natalie Portman and Ewan Mcgregor?

Or am I way off on this?

Hayden is most definately coming back to reprise his role and in fact will probably be wearing the black suit in the end. Also James Earl Jones has recorded about ten minutes of dialogue as Darth Vader.

He has been sick and I think the last I heard he had just had some sort of hip surgery. Either that or he was planning on having hip surgery at a certain time. Still, he seemed to think he had enough time to get back in shape for the next SW movie.

I'm not sure GL will try and get David Prowse back. From what I recall DP saying there seemed to have been a bit of a misuderstanding during the filming of RotJ where GL got the impression that DP was spilling the beans about Vader dying (according to DP it was actually the interviewer who told him that Vader was dying. Up to that point he didn't know).

Whether it was true or not you have to wonder why GL didn't let David Prowse play the unmasked Vader in RotJ since when he was orignally hired for ANH he chose the roll of Vader over Chewbacca because his face would be shown (obviously that changed).

Who's David Prose? The guy who wore the Vader costume? I believe Lucasfilm comfirmed that since Hayden had done such a great job as Anakin, (I wouldn't know, I haven't seen AOTC) that he was signed on for Ep. III.:D

Isn't OT Vader taller than PT Anakin? It'd be hard to explain away his sudden growth spurt.

More mechanical parts. Why replace with "like new" when you could have "better than new"? :D Either that or the Dark Side can work better than 'roids. :D

Prowse seems to think he's going to be playing Vader but he's the only one. He can barely walk with a stick now, there's no way he could handle walking around in the suit. It would be dangerous.

As for Hayden's height, CG can do wonderful things ;) Making a guy in a suit a couple of inches taller can't be that hard,

There's no difference in height between Anakin in the PT and Vader in the OT. Compare Anakin and Obi-Wan standing together and then fast forward to their final battle in A New Hope.

Prowse was about 6'6 and Hayden is about 6'2. Alec Guiness was probably taller than Ewan or camera angles made him look bigger, whatever but Prowse IS taller than Hayden. Not that it really matters a great deal. I don't think anyone's really that bothered about a few inches difference.

It can easily be explained through droid legs.

Some heavy boots and the helmet would take care of any difference. He's not that far off from Vader's height. I'm sure George considered that when he hired Hayden.

Was Hayden in the Matrix? The wee perv who wanted to hook Neo up with the woman in the red dress?

As far as I'm aware AOTC was his first major film, he was in one other thing before but it wasn't the matrix.

I don't think the problems with acting can be solely blamed on the actors. George wrote some trully bad dialogue. They act much better in scenes with decent dialogue. And at least for the romance parts, they are supposed to be somewhat stiff. They're two people in lust for the first time and have no idea what to do. A lot of their stiffness is intended to be so.

Is hayden ever going to win an Oscar? Probably not be he isn't horrible.

Nope, not Hayden, but in a slight coincidence that guy is in AoTC. He's the drug dealer guy who Obiwan get to rethink his life. Another Matrix tie-in is that the Lady In Red is one of the women in the Coruscant bar.

I heard the deatstick guy was a guy from sync making a cameo, sine I don't know what the group looks like, I assumed that.

SO Hayden is going to be in Ep. III, now will Luke be played by an older Jake Lloyd?

No, Luke will probably be too young for a 15 year-old Lloyd.

If they can't get David Prowse, then they should get someone else his height, like John Tesh.

No damn you. That is just evil. Well, on that account it could make sense. But no that is too evil.

That is no excuse for putting the audience through a torture session. Whatever happened to the Geneva Conventions?
