What do we know of seperatist ships?

Consider the following - We've seen a bunch o seppie ships, but we know extremely little about them. Or at least I do, some of you might have infor on them. Hence this thread.

Geonosian Dreadnaught - Uses a command sphere like the TFBB. Presumably star dreadnaught size and power.

Rendelli Dreadnaught class star frigate - extremely common sector defense forces. Likely used extensively.

Trade Federation Troop Transport - similar to the battleship and droid control ship, but mentioned specifically in the AOTC novel.

Trade Federation Droid Control Ship - the big ship in TPM.

Trade Federation Battleship - standard large craft seen in TPM, though the gun count there was wrong

Trade Federation Cruiser - mentioned briefly in the AOTC ICS, docks with the core ship, said to have improved weapons placement. A battleship in name only, more in line with a heavy star cruiser

Trade Federation Destroyer - mentioned briefly in the AOTCICS, docks with core ship, said to be smaller, faster to defend fleets and chase down blockade runners.

Trade Federation Carriers - seen in the Stark Hyperspace war comic carrying Jedi in starfighters to the rescue of Tarkin's illfated forcees. Small and compact.

Providence class star destroyer - Base hangar less form of the Invisible hand. Seen in abundance in the later clone wars shorts.

Invisible Hand class star destroyer - modified version of the Providence class, at least three known of this class. Detailed in the ROTS ICS

Resucant class star destroyer - light destroyer from the commerce guild. Detailed in the ROTSICS

Munificent class star frigate - frigate for the IBC. Detailed in the ROTS ICS

Commerce guild diamond cruisers - Seen here above the data block. Click to expand. What else is known?

Corporate alliance Fantails - mentioned as a one liner in Labrynth of Evil as being part of the seperatist fleet at Beledrone.

IBC cruisers - Seen here as the image in the title block. What else is known?

Techno Union Hardcells - small craft seen on the Geonosian battlefield. Does not use repulsors to take off, instaed known for activating main engines in atmosphere and doing horrific damage to the planet.

Techno Union combat craft - an unnamed ship that could give an Acclamator pause, seen Hard Contact

Geonosina fanblade transport - craft favored by Assaj Ventrass. Well armed, but does not come with antitheft devices.

Nantex class starfighter - Geonosina starfighter seen in AOTC. Detailed in AOTC ICS

Vulture type droid starfighter - caft seen in TPM.

Tri-fighter droid starfighter - Nast bit of work detailed in ROTS ICS

Mankavim-418 starfighter - Techno union short ranged interceptor, briefly detailed in ROTS ICS

Belbullab-22 starfighter - Grievous's starfighter, briefly detailed in ROTS ICS.

Trade Federation Lander - same dealy we saw in TPM.

Unnamed one engine ship - seen from far off in background of ROTS comic adaptation. No information, may even be republic.

DId I get all of them? Can anyone add details?

There were those (Banking Clan?) battlestations seen the first season of Clone Wars. Does that count as a ship, or no?

Geonosina fanblade transport
That would be the Ginivex-class starfighter.

I have a question. To those of you who read the novelization (or any other piece of factoid): The command center on Utapau (the modified sphere), is it a core ship? Does it belong to the usual variants of Trade Federation doughnut-ships?

Edit: spacestations are classified as ships in fixed orbits, I believe....

Trade Fed missle frigates from Starfighter Games.

Trade Fed Cruiser from Jedi Starfigher.

The Tradefed cruiser from Jedi Starfighter may be the same one mentioned in the Episode II ICS

There's also the Saboeth (sp?) destroyer, seen in the last mission, but I don't know if any survived Geonosis

Here's the official Jedi Starfighter site, complete with a large number of screenshots showing various craft.

Granted my knowledge of Clone Wars EU is very limited but I don't know of any references to the Seperatists using Dreadnaughts, just the Republic.

Also, while the Geonosian Dreadnought sounds impressive, so do a great many of the ships in Star Wars EU. That Grievous was using one as a command ship is telling of its possible size and power but ships lacking a 'Star' designation cannot always be trusted to fit neatly in an order of battle.

The novelization describes it as the coreship of the Geonosian Dreadnaught.

Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure it just said that was how big it was, not that it was actually part of one.

ROTS Novelization, page 177 wrote:General Grievous stood wide-legged, hands folded behind him, as he stared out through the reinforced viewport at the towering sphere of the Geonosian Dreadnaught. The immense ship looked small, though, against the scale of the vast sinkhole that rose around it.
This is the description of Grievous' arrival on Utapau. The Geonosian Dreadnaught can be none other than the CIS command centre on Utapau, where the General lands in the movie. The movie shows this to be a model of coreship, which I can only assume fits in with the main hull of the Geonosian Dreadnaught.
ROTS Novelization, page 264 wrote:Obi-Wan turned casually and scanned upward, counting levels. On the tenth, his eye found a spiny spheroid of metal: a Dreadnaught-sized structure that clearly had not been there for long...
This quote, Vympel, is describing the size of the Geonosian coreship. It just so happens that it is the size of a standard Rendili Dreadnaught. This can be confusing, because it happens to be the coreship for the Geonosian Dreadnaught, a warship that is surely many times more massive than the coreship. This does imply, however, that this coreship is somewhat smaller than the Lucrehulk-class.

Thanks, that helped clear things up! I thought that sphere didnĀ“t look as massive as the ones in AOTC. :)

It is said that Grievous is in the command pod of the Dreadnaught when he deals with Gunra and talks to Sidious. In the movies we see the command pod is a core ship. the logical conclusion is that the Geonosian dreadnaught has an attachable/detachable core ship to it. Hopefully it can also be concluded that it is an actual star dreadnaught on the seperatist side, but...

Hmm. Going over the weapons figures for the Munificent-class, I think it might be incorrectly labeled.

That thing has more heavy armament than a Venator, or an Acclamator

But its reactor output is one seventeenth that of a Venator. It packs much more firepower in a single shot of its main guns but those same cannons cannot fire another full-power shot for at least twenty minutes.

Power behind the weapons matters more then the number of weapons. That massive 66 peta ton cannon takes over 20 minutes to charge back up, so its really pretty irrelevent.

One would assume they can be rapid fired on lower energy settings.

I was looking at the stats from the official site's Databank, and it's got more heavy weapons than the Venator.

Fewer laser cannons though

But its reactor puts out an order of magnitude less energy than the Venator's does. That means that the guns can at most put out an order of magnitude less energy than the Venator's can.

This is true of both the Munificent and Recusant, this actually seems quite consistant with a coalition that favors heavily armed but poorly survivable units in their army. I think some of the power shortfall is offset by underpowering the shields. Poor survivability but high firepower seems to be the CIS trademark. Admittedly I haven't compared the Seperatists' firepower to their power supply but it would be something that would at least help their firepower / refire times.
