So what in the EU is irreconcilable now?

What parts of the EU simply cannot fit in with new canon and new info as established by the PT? What can stay with slight modifications?

Origins of Boba Fett as a Stormtrooper who murdered his superior officer.

That was the ANH novelization.

It may have actually been in both, but I distinctly remember it in ANH.

It wasn't in the ANH novelisation, but earlier versions of the RotJ novelisation. It's since been removed from the latest editions, I think.

DPDP: Boba Fett being a Stormtrooper was always sort of a in-universe rumour.

Odd. Oh well, I must have had them confused.

Not a PT issue, but the DVDs have rendered a part of the opening of SOE invalid, the bit where Xizor overhears the old ESB holographic message from Palpatine.

IIRC, Tales of The Bounty Hunters had Fett remembering his past.

The droids anime is retconned out of existence. The back-story of Artoo and Threepio has been established without room for adventures with Mungo Baobab and the Rune Stones.

Which is a shame, because the Great Heap was the best villian ever!

Unless they somehow manage to fall out of, and then back into, the ownership of Captain Antilles and the Tantive IV.

When was that time given?

I think it was implied (the ~50) in Zahn's first trilogy with the clones they discover Thrawn making.

I recall reading about some book where Luke visits his mother's homeworld. I've never actually picked up the book, but if anyone has, is the planet mentioned anything other than Naboo? I would think so, since it came out long before the PT was announced.

Wasn't that part of the Black Fleet Crisis, where the whole Luke searching about his mother thing turned out to be just a wild goose chase?

I recall a retcon involving something like the Year 38 Resynchronisation, or such. Frankly I don't know much more because I don't really understand what happened.

I believe that is actually the case.

How so?

The idea that Boba Fett used to be call Jaster Mereel. That was in the Han Solo trilogy.

That's already been retconned since shortly after AotC came out. Jaster Mereel is now the Mandalorian who raised Jango Fett, and whose armour now belongs to Boba. Also, for a short time Boba Fett actually used the name Jaster Mereel as an alias early in his career, IIRC.

Really, it doesnt make much difference, and nothing about the meaning or mood of the scene is changed, its just that what Palpatine says...isnt what he says anymore.

I have not read it, but I don't know if it is direct conflict. I mean what if he was wondering some planet when an imperial office found him, hey another clone!! And forces him back into the ranks..... Or he joins through his own free will to help hunt down the Jedi. Possibly taking the place of a fallen clone. Lots of explianations can be made up to make that hole patched. Him becoming a storm trooper is not that inconcivible. Wanting to be with his own kind, then finding out they are pretty much sheep.(Granted, I do not know the whole story so I am talking from my ass.)

PS So the fancy moves are trying to mislead the enemies precog.

That doesn't really make it invalid.

No, it doesnt. It's just different dialog now. I'm not sure why I mentioned it. :|

In TTT Mara makes a comment about "cold faced Clones" trying to take over, Pellaeon also makes comments about the "Fleet" fighting clones.

I wouldn't say that can't be reconciled. What if there was an attempt to crate clones faster, and the force mind breaking problem emerged. The plan was abandoned, but a small portion of the Republic Fleet had to hunt them down.

In short, all inconsistencies will be retconned as soon as somebody at LucasBooks/Liscensing/Film/Lucas himself notices. ;)

Maybe a better question would be, what inconsistencies were created by the prequels/OT revisions? And what if any fixes have already come out to explain those away?

The other option would be just to go "oh, ___ source? chuck that #@$# from the canon" but that's not going to happen, per Chee's comments.
