During the Battle of Hoth in TESB the AT-ATs that are coming under fire in seemed to have some of the rebel heavy blaster/TL shots "impacting" a few feet off the hull... Could this imply shielding?
Or can someone provide some caps to prove/debunk this...
Need screen caps for an idea

I don't have screencaps, but I know what you're talking about. Well, I might be thinking of something slightly different. In one shot, a bolt hits the leg of a walker, but the glow and dispersion that travels up and around the leg sort of reminds me of a bluish/purple version of the green dispersion we see around the Falcon as it is being chased by the Avenger later in the film (about the time it gets knocked around by the blast).

I've always suspected AT-ATs were at least ray-shielded.weemadando wrote:During the Battle of Hoth in TESB the AT-ATs that are coming under fire in seemed to have some of the rebel heavy blaster/TL shots "impacting" a few feet off the hull... Could this imply shielding?

I mean, look at the opening battle of ANH and how the Devastator's shields absorb the blasts with small explosions. Now look at the AT-AT - simliar small explosions!
