Does anyone know if there is a description of what Sand People look like under all those robes?

According to EU sources they have never been seen beneath their robes, however their physiology does not differ significantly from that of normal humans, as demonstrated by Tahiri Veila, who lived among the Sand People for some time, and adopted their customs without problems.

Re: Sand People
Human, pretty much. Another example of a human blending in with them is Sharad Hett, a former Jedi.paladin wrote:Does anyone know if there is a description of what Sand People look like under all those robes?

Nope, he was from another planet. A'Sharad, his son, is a Tusken Jedi.neoolong wrote:Hett was human? I always thought he was Tusken Raider jedi.

That's what we've been trying to answer. To quote myself from about seven posts earlier:Aya wrote:What does a Tusken look like under all those wraps?

My guess is so that they can travel during the day without getting sunburn and/or heatstroke. The masks shield their eyes from the sun and sand, and the mouthpieces could (in my mind) extract water vapor from the air.neoolong wrote:A related question is why do they use the masks and weird looking cloth to cover their faces in the first place?

No, you're stupid for dissing something you've never read.Good stories or not, it's stupid.
If you heard someone was going to write a story with Kirk taking on Luke, Vader, Thrawn, Khan, and Fett all at once, you'd probably laugh and call them a Kirk wanker. But that's not the case with Star-Crossed, is it?

Look, I think the concept of a Tusken Jedi is absolutely ridiculous. I am NOT saying that the stories based around this character are badly written or uninteresting.IG-88E wrote:They believe showing flesh is vulgar.neoolong wrote:A related question is why do they use the masks and weird looking cloth to cover their faces in the first place?

Don't misrepresent what I said just because I have a different opinion about something. What has this got to do with Stavro's fanfic?!?!?!?!

Because I find it HIGHLY unlikely.IG-88E wrote:Why is the concept of a tusken Jedi ridiculous?
Your example implied that I was criticising the author for writing about a silly concept when I was actually criticising the concept. Can't you see that?IG-88E wrote:I'm drawing up a comparison. Can't you see that?

You do. Read 'Outlander' and you'll rind it more likely.Sardaukar wrote:Because I find it HIGHLY unlikely.
My point was, if you'd never heard of SC, and someone told you they'd read a story about Kirk Vs. company, what would your reaction be? Probably the same you're giving this, I'd wager.Your example implied that I was criticising the author for writing about a silly concept when I was actually criticising the concept. Lets not forget one of the EU books credits Tusken Raiders with the ability to spray a stream of blood at their prey .
